    I remembered a question I was going to ask...and now there are two. ^^;

    1) Is there anywhere besides ADV's website where I can find info about Princess Nine?

    and

    2) There's more to the Keiko/Hidehiko thing, isn't there?? There has to be~!!! But I just wanna know if there's more. Don't tell me what it is. Just if it is. *^^*

    Thank you~

    *the local P9 fan

    OK, lessee...

    Of course, there're the reviews on AnimeonDVD.com, as well as much extensive discussions about the show on their forums. They may also have some people there who've located or started other sites about P9. I can think of one poster in particular over there who is running an on-going comparison of the dub with the subbed version, but I can't remember his name right at the moment...

    I think Amber Anime Archive may have scans of one of the Japanese LD covers, but then that's not really info...

    Well, looks like it's back to good old Google, trying to sort out which are just vendors selling it, which are reviews of the discs, and which are actually sites about the show...

    My titles for Megami Kouhousei: "Candidate for Gonzo", or, when two episodes of this show were on instead of one episode each of this and Outlaw Star, "Pirate Candidate"

    Oh, and for question 2: I guess all that comes out in Volume 4: Strike Zone. Which, unfortunately, I don't have yet. I hear that there is something more, but I don't know what. But what I do hear is that the crap hits the fan over it (going by ADV's description on their site for #4).

    So I have to get two more discs...>.>;

    It'd be pretty dumb if there wasn't any more. I mean, there's so much left for the viewer to muse about. All the 'why's and 'how's'...

    It's so ironic that my friend and I thought that Izumi and Ryo were probably good friends, since they get that together shot in the opening...turns out it's the opposite... >.>;

    The lyrics of the opening and closing songs suggest (to me at least) that they become friends by the end of the series. There're a lot of lines like 'there was bitterness in the past' and stuff like that. So, I think if we follow the overall pattern suggested by the songs, they start out enemies or rivals and become good friends by the end.

    I was thinking the same thing...^^; *is happy that someone else is a fan of the show*

    The thing about "waving at me and smiling at me" (whatever...) in the end theme...It's just...!! If those pictures in the end theme (or at least the first one, with the group) have anything to do with the series, then I'd say they all end up great friends, but, obviously, Izumi and Ryo closest of all. I mean, she looks shy! ^^ (Methinks chibi!Izumi looks like Martina from Slayers Next ^^)

    I'm betting the same. A real sense of being a team would make them a tight group. Plus, Ryo's actions around the duel really demonstrated to Izumi that she really respects her a lot and tries to understand her point of view.

    I've got UrashimaKeitaro hooked on this show, too, but over the summer he unfortunately can't get on the boards very often. Well, by the time we get the whole series, we'll be able to get his viewpoint in as well.

    And Izumi does take after her mother in being somewhat untalkative. You always see her kind of standing apart in the first part of the series. You've got the three sycophants following her around, but she doesn't really like them much and even they keep a little distance, as she's pretty intimidating.

    Hehe... Those three are more frightening than... well, they're just frightening. They're uber-fanatical, and I think Izumi notices. They, like, adore Izumi. Possibly even worship the ground she walks on. *shakes head* I remember my first impression of them: "Psychopaths."

    Well, Coach Kido thinks the same thing about Izumi and Keiko. (I think he's far too familiar with her in the dub. It gives off the wrong impression. Not even Yanagida goes over and says "Hey there, Keiko, what's up!" and he's known her most of her life. >.>;; That really annoyed me...)

    Psycopaths: "She should understand not to mess with Hiroki!" (My own paraphrase)

    Izumi: (cold glare) "Are you trying to embarrass me?"

    (Discussion ends in crushing defeated look on psychopaths' faces)

    Gotta love a girl with the strong presence and attitude!

    That's the reason we love Izumi so much. ^^;;;

    Nice paraphrase, by the way!
