Video Games any wrestling fans?

The next game I am buying for my PS2 is SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth. I was wondering if anybody else is looking forward to this game too? It was already supposed to be out by now but they pushed it back two days for some oddball reason.

 

i AM INTO THE WRESTLING games also.

I may rent the game first to see if it is worth buying.

I can't rent

Well I could rent it from my one of three local, Estacada (OR), video shops for a day or two. There is no major video stores in my area like Hollywood or Blockbuster, well there is in the nearest city Sandy. But both of these towns are at least 10 miles away and do not have my own liscense yet. (1st drivers liscense test this friday, but that is another subject) And is a hassle to get my mom out of the house to do anything I want. So I would probably have like $20 late charges So I think it will be safer just to buy the game, plus it looks and sounds like a great game. I am willing to take the risk if it isn't.
And who wants to play as the lame and restless character of The Rock, The People's Champion I am a Jericholic forever. Y2J will kick the Rock's butt and I am going to make Y2J the first Undisputed Champion just like he was in real life.

 

i'm looking forward to this game, it's didn't released yet ,it's SMACK DOWN 4 right

Heh I don't really watch wrestling unless Im with my friends and we're at Bobby Dee's (a local bar and grill)..

I do have a wrestling game for my Gamecube but its more so I can make my own wrestlers based off me and my friends.. I can surprisingly make photo-realistic wrestlers, especial Roman and Mr Bourdeau (That Guy!, you know who Im talking about...)

If I can I'm going to tape the intro movies and put them on the net... its really quite funny seeing a man with no pants driving a motorcycle and then dance in the ring...

 

Yes it is SmackDown 4 or you could call it SmackDown 2003 (or 2002, whichever), since I think they are going to make one once every year now just like with any other sports game. And it is out, but only at selected retailers. You can buy it on the internet right now if you wanted to (and do not have parents who are afraid to buy stuff over it like I do).
I went everywhere today trying to find it. I went to Game Crazy and they have it but only for the people who pre-ordered it. Than went to Wal-Mart and they have not got a shipment of the game yet. Last place was Best Buy and they will have it on Monday, 24 copies on Monday. This works out great cus than I can pick up the game and than go to the concernt I am going to on that day too. FYI it is the Korn and Disturbed concernt titled Pop Sux tour.

 

season

I got the game on Monday and been playing it non stop cus I want to earn Shawn Michaels on season mode. Let me tell you about season mode on this game. First on Exhibition you can play as anybody and everybody, but you have to earn people to play them on season mode. Season mode is still only one player. If you have played the previous smack down games this one is like secnd and third season's put together. It is like the third one in the sense you can walk and talk wrestlers and co-oweners and that there is story behind your character. It is like the second one in the sense you can hold multiple titles and you go from week to week to week to week (yes 4weeks, that can be 8 shows if you are the undisputed champion and go to both SmackDown and Raw) to the pay-per-view. The pay-per-views is where you earn stuff. Win your match at the PPV and you get to choose to earn something. I am not sure if the season is continous and never stops, but I know it starts on April with the draft. I finally got to the Royal Rumble and in the process if trying to beat it, the actual Royal Rumble match that is, and earn some characters for the season.

Season mode Spoilers ahead

Some dumb things about season mode is, well just let me tell you what happen as I was playing as Triple H in season mode. I won the title at Backlash, purposly lost it next month to get qualified to go to the King of the Ring. Won the KoR and got a title shot for next month vengeance ppv and not summerslam for some reason. Won the title and did not have to defend it until the december PPV, Armageddon. But during this time vince and flair kept on fueding. First I was on Flair's side by sayig to knock out vince when he asked me to join him. Than by Survivor Series everything got turned around and I was with Vince. there was this six man elimination match to decide one owner and I was on Vince's side, which was weird. Than after the match was over Flair and Vince were still co-owners and were still fueding. Well than I lost the title at Armageddon to Brock Lesnar in a Six man Hell in a Cell match. Now I am at the Royal Rumbel. So it can get a little weird:sweat: but oh well.

 

sounds like the writters for WWE have worked overtime in the development of this newest version.
are the characters better looking than last years version. the computer graphics needed some work in my opinion.
