Manga Anybody know Eden?

Err well what the topic says. Eden by Hiroki Endo. the best manga i have ever seen when it comes to
a) plot
b) characters
c) illustrations

I mean theres no comic that comes even close to endo's drawings. :glazed: The backgrounds are great, but those details... man awesome


Whatever, to keep this on topic:
i'm more of a manga than anime fan, so i dont know too many movies. i thought maybe somebody got some suggestions on what to download?

I liked Akira, Gits, and Cowboy Bebop. Suppose i'm a sci/fi fan?! I'd watch some fantasy series too, if its got a decent story and good characters.


Any suggestions are very welcome! (spirited away? outlaw star? looks like bebop..)

yeah Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop, and Spirited away are great,
you should also try watching Inuyasha, it's about a half-demon Named Inuyasha and he and this girl, Kagome from present times have to find the shards of a sacred jewel. Rurouni Kenshin, a Wanderer named Kenshin who used to be legenday manslayer has vowed not to kill again and meets some unlikely friends. Noir (ages you shoudl watch12-??) a Girl which found out that that killing is the only thing that she's truelly good at.

Well i hope you can take the time to decide wether or not you want to watch these

i think i'm going to give Outlaw Star and Spirited Away a try. What you mean "Noir (ages you shoudl watch12-??)"? I didnt get that part. You mean episodes 12 and up are good? Is it some kind of assassin story like Leon (that movie with Jean Reno)?

i'm buying eden since late 2000 and its quite famous where i live. the only thing especially maybe girls might find disturbing about it is the explicit and extremely realistic violence. I mean there are no shootings at all till eden #2-3 if i recall correctly but whenever theres some fight, Hiroki Endo draws like every single vein and tooth and slice of whatever part of the body.

so maybe its not for the weak-stomached. i dont know. there arent too many killings, but when theres one its... well.. very realistic

A good example for the detailed and well thought out story: the so-called 'Closer' virus plays a key role in Eden. when the protagonists find out about it, Endo comes up with panels where you can see what exactly happens in the infected cells and what kind of haploids and diploids are involved and which part of the human genome is affected and crazy stuff like that. i mean Endo worked as a waiter in a brothel, he must have taken some cytology courses! other authers wouldnt have bothered. "theres a virus. it kills humans. period."

What about Ninja Scroll? Would a guy like me like it?

well this is a good show for girls like me (no i an NOT good at killing)and it good for guys too

Eden sounds a little too much for me *mabey later* sounds iteresting but

yeah and Ninga Scroll would be a perfect show for a guy like you i can tell you're mature to watch it unlike me ya know 12 yrs i really dont watch that show as often as Inuyasha and such

hehe yes Eden is definitely 18+ its got a very romantic love story too.

you shouldnt watch Ninja Scroll either if you dont feel like you're old enough! bad girl!

oops i watch all these 14 and up anime i even watched cowboy bebop knockin on heavens door (movie) and it was R rated i saw it w/ me dad

and i like action/romance stories too like inuyasha and Rurouni Kenshin

I took a chance and picked Eden to download off the internet. "Wow" would be an understatement of my amazement of the manga. Every aspect of it is amazing~! The characters, illustrations, the story ... the list goes on! Eventhough I got lost after the 20 years skip, Im still willing to know what the heck is going on. Also there are so many characters that I made a list of their names. lol Im used to seeing the same characters in every chapter and volumes, but this manga... Characters are removed and added in every page!

About Katia and Wyaliffe(sp), that was the most depressing part of this depressing story

+adds on her wishlist : Eden being animated. I want to see Kenji in action! I love his ninja-like moves!

The story is cool, the characters are unique, the action is superb, but I cant fully appreciate it. I wish there was a censored version >_<;;;
