Yu-Gi-Oh! Anyone ever heard of GX?

Now, I know i don't post much in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Forum because most of the subjects of disscussion. But recently reading one of FR's posts, I just discovered the new Yu-Gi-Oh! Series. And this is nothing like Seasons. This is the new series by the creators. Just all different characters (although some have a strong resemblence to the old ones). All the same dueling, brand new monsters.
If you're looking to see more, dont ask me because im asking you. All i could find was the Trailer Shown in TV Tokyo.

I think its around 10 episodes now. Ive only seen 1 ep though, didn't really like it. It has that crappy Duel Masters anime feel to it. And cuz everyone looks like Kaiba...

 

A fun why do they have to do this to my anime? I didn't get to see the player. What is this anime about?

I don't really pay attention to it (meaning I don't watch the clips Spinny so generously puts up on her site ) I just know some stuff about it and enjoy the song Genkai Battle...

The only person I've seen with a resembalence to Kaiba is that Asuka Tenjou girl. Oo But i'ts eerie with her...I mean, she's got HIS hair. Sure it's longer and lighter, but those bangs of her's are exactly like Kaiba's! Oo
Other than that the only character I see with any resembalance to one of the original YGO characters is that one boy...the short one...he kinda looks like Yuugi, with an Insector Haga/Weevil vibe. XD

 

Wether they look like Kaiba or not, i think it looks kinda dumb. I think the story for the original Yu-Gi-Oh! is way better. It also looks like a different person drew the anime for Yu-Gi-Oh! GX.

 

Hey, just wondering, but has anyone here ever heard of Yugioh GX or Yugioh R? They are two series that follow the original Yugioh series....but they are not quite as good, as far as I can tell.

After watching a whole lot of Yu-Gi-Oh!, i figured what GX is gonna be about: Beating a guy somehow related to the millenium items (If hopefuly any), deal with him in like 60-70 episodes, move on to the next guy (forget about the guy in the process, until the director of the anime feels like it). Then...*Repeat proccess*

But me, i just hope it doesn't get as bad as Duel Masters. Worst Card Anime on English...ever....

Sounds interesting but I doubt that it will be better then the orginal series. Barely any really is.

 

it has started on cn and is different
they had to throw in something from the original and had one character say,"what if you were like an ancient pharoh and i was like .. in a past life?"
i couldn't remember it all but they had to throw it in somewhere.
i hope it doesn't turn into duelmasters

 

I have yet to see it but I have yet. Is it more like the anime or manga in everyones opinions?

 

As far as I can tell. It has NOTHING to do with the original series. I haven't see or heard a mention of the millenium items. Of course, I've only seen one episode, but still.

 

Will it does pawn off of the first series. Yami was in the first episode briefily. I so far like it. I will be watching episode 11 to see if Jaden gets kicked out.

I think it is an okay series. Diffentily doesn't go to the extereme like DBZ or pokemon. So far it looks good. Maybe I just have been missing my Yami/Yugi combo. Jaden and Syrus could run for that.

Alexis looks like Kaiba but so does her brother. If you remember the picture.

Hmph...I remember hearing that, that whole school they go was kaiba Corp sponsored or soemthing, but I ahven't seen heads or tails of my beloved! WTH!? >.<

Judai/Jayden....he pisses me off...I don't know why....he just does. Maybe it's the English voice or something...I just can't stand the guy...

Couldn't stand yuugi or Yami all that much either for that matter, but at least Yuugi was cute. XD

 

I like Jayden. Maybe because he reminds me of Yami. Strong and then the week one being Yuugi and Syrus.

Jayden kicks almost everyones butt. Except for Ryo whom reminds me of Kaiba. Cold.

 

I like all the characters. Sad though that they're a little TO simmilar to the old characters. :sad:

 

So true so true. But that tends to happen in series by the same creator. Look at DBZ oh wait they are all the same.
