yea, im kinda on a threading spree, but thats not a bad thing, is it? so like the title asks, is anyone in here a raver/candykid?

Having a 2 yr. old does not do much for one's social life.
Haven't been to one in......ages.

I am DJ, really, playing ephophic, Industrial, Trance, Hard House .
Fun Stuff Really.

But really, Rave? That's like...überlow techno. I really hate Rave, Happy HardCore...that's..just so...blergh.

 

well, i guess you think its bad, but whatever, i dont. i really like it. i was just seeing who else does to. hopefully thats not a crime anyplace.

I'm not a raver, and haven't been a rave, but I'd like to try going to one someday. From what my friends in person have told me, it's actually pretty cool. I know there's a lot of druggies at raves, but I'm not into that. I'm into the music and the dancing, and techno & trance are pretty interesting, just that they're hardly ever played in regular dance clubs. (If anything, they toss in 2-3 mainstream techno songs maybe twice during the night.)

I like glowsticks too, in fact I have two that I bought a long time ago, but never got to use! I also have batter-operated lightsticks, but I never get to use them either.

 

There's a lot of "druggies" anywhere you go these days.
Personally, I hate raves. Always liked the music, but never liked the whole rave scene. My sister used to be into those things, but then she got out of that whole stoned-out-of-her-mind raver stage.
The music's cool, but the rest sucks.

 

I'm gonna have to agree with Novus on this one. Nowadays, at least in Cincinnati (I don't know about elsewhere), the raves are mostly about drugs. I like the music, and I like to dance to it, but I can't stand the rave atmosphere itself.

 

When I was in high school, my brother, his friends, and I went to a sort of small scale rave party. It wasn't a REAL rave cuz there was no rave scene at our lil island. In fact, it was really just a community dance that happened to play techno till about 5 am. The whack thing was that every few hours, they'd play a bunch of reggae songs. Well, that was to cater to maybe half the crowd who liked reggae more than techno. There was probably close to no drugs except for the occasional pot-smokers outside. I can't even remember most of the techno songs played, but I did recognize "Alarma" which was pretty nuts at the time. I didn't know to to rave dance back then, but I picked up a few styles from watching others.
