Music Anyone Know A Manga Or Anime Where The Main Chara. Are In A Band?

    I would like to know if there is a an anime or manga where the main characters are in a band please tell me what it is called, thank you.

    off the bat I can think of Gravitation(band called Bad Luck) and Full Moon wo Sagashite (one person singer called Full Moon)

    Most of the Macross series' have singers in them, oh and don't forget the last season of Sailor Moon, Sailor Stars. The Starlights have some great tunes!

    I'm thinking of BubbleGum Crisis 2040. The character Priss is in a band and that group has a lot of songs out. Hope you enjoy them.

    Isn't Megumi (Lina's voice from Slayers) a singer for most of the songs of the Slayers series? Strange how the scratchy/malevolent voice of Lina Inverse could be one of better voices I've heard out of most songs for animes.

    As for Manga...there's Bremen. Great manga. I thoroughly enjoy it. I don't know, there's something about the attitude, just like what one of the characters said about the band. Umm...not for people under the age of 13 though.

    Hmm...Bubblegum Crisis has the Replicants with Priss Asagiri as the main singer. Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 has the other (newer) version of Priss as the vocalist and producer of As Sekiria.

    Well, she's not in a band, but Haruhara Haruko is a guitarist. FLCL is the anime.

    There's an episode in Kimagure Orange Road where Kyosuke and Madoka were *asked* to help in a band.

    Err...other than the ones mentioned already (and the further mentioning of the Bubblegum Crisis thing) tht's all I can think of. ^_^

    Oh, and Thin...are you a BGC fan?

    Cunning, Megumi does A LOT. She does the opening and closing for Eva (well, in some versions), Love Hina, and a slew of others. She's, like, the ultimate seiyuu. She's Lina, Rei Ayanami, Penpen, Urashima Haruka, Nuku Nuku, Ai (Video Girl Ai), Hello Kitty, Lime, Tira Misu, etc...

    there are a lot of japanese voice actors who sing, but that wasn't the question... I'm sure theres other bands in anime with main characters in them..

    Goddess Family Club is one band.

    The voice actresses are:

    Kikuko Inoue .... Belldandy
    Yumi Tôma .... Urd
    Aya Hisakawa .... Skuld.

    They have realsed one album together...and yes, they sing the ending theme and the opening theme and various songs from the series Oh! My Goddess :)

    Whoa.. never knew that :). Slayers was the only series that I had out of that list, so I wouldn't know from experience.... but Hello Kitty? Didn't see that one coming...

    The bassist from FLCL, and the main characters from NGE in Death And Rebirth perform Kanon. Does that count?

    I've seen adverts for a serial manga called "Sushi Girl" - I think - where the main characters are in some random-genre band.

    hmm im not sure about this...but i thought i heard that the guyz in Weiss Kreuz were also a band. im not sure tho..dont take my word for it :)

    It does, they at one point auska (i think) says one of the other characters is late (cant remember which one), which could imply that they do it regularly.

    Gravitation (if you don't mind the yaoi, it's GREAT), the band's called Bad Luck, and there's also another band in there (but not the main charas) called ASK, Kaikan Phrase (they have a song from GLAY in their OST <3 <3) and the band's called Aucifer/Lucifer... that's all I can think of ^^;;
