Anime Anyone knows a good Anime that is a little like Goldenboy?

The thing with GoldenBoy is that it was an OVA. Since it was never released on air, the company who drew it was allowed more leeway on what they were able to show, especially in episode 5. Also, that means that the quality of the animation (though it's rather old) is much better than normal on-air anime.

If you're looking for something ALONG those same lines, it's rather hard. There was no real story development in GBoy, and most OVA aren't meant for that.

If you must though, try out Photon: The Idiot Adventures. Not EXACTLY the same vein, but it's HILARIOUS and more than a little ecchi.

Then, there's Excel Saga, which is over the top.

And Puni Puni Poemi, which is twice the top of Excel.

Maze: Megaburst Space gets pretty ecchi (especially with the girl with needles trying to seduce female-Maze). It gets pretty serious, but it's still funny, though mostly in the first half only. At the end, it gets serious, which makes sense, as the series finishes of.

Onegai Teacher and Twins. Lots of innuendo, lots of fanservice, pretty high quality animation. The OVA episodes are MUCH more like GoldenBoy in that there's ecchi *and* comedy. Onegai Teacher just came out as a "Perfect Collection" boxset, so the whole thing is available for one low price. Twins just came out with Volume 1.

But as far as a near exact match of GoldenBoy? Nothin'.
