Shirow Masamune Works Appleseed Anime?

    Is there an anime for Masamune Shirow's Appleseed?I have read the first volume of the manga,and it looks like it could have some potential.But,with the manga being black and white,it was hard to keep track of all the characters and mecha.In an anime,it would probably be more clear.

    Manga Entertainments has the the movie of Appleseed.. Very old anime.. And from what ive heard they are ether doing a remake or another story on appleseed.. Been a while since i heard any info

    watched it last month, I got it from Blockbuster. tis indeed old. But, as Neph said, it was good. Although I'm not fond of that animation. Not fond at all.
