Creative Writing April Pains

Blessed in thoughts of you,

soaking in the rapture of our lives.

I'm pretty sure you're using me,

But I won't bother to ask why.

I need to be drastic,

Take some desperate measures,

Cut all over this torso,

Forget worldly pleasures.

I need you to feel this,

The dying I have inside.

The quiet insecurities I shelter,

They're eating me alive.

I know I've done you wrong,

I know I'm the worst you've had.

The denial never helps us,

And you know i'm not glad.

Not happy, not steady, not safe,

Not really able to say I'm okay.

I'm just drifting along,

Not knowing what to say?

Could you tell me how to do this?

Can you tell me what to do?

I don't think I can make it

If you don't know what I'm going through.
