    Azumanga Daioh Drama

    Was bouncing around and saw a scan of some sort of promotion for the Azumanga Daioh Live-Action series.

    However, the last dated news item I can find anywhere is from May, earlier this year. This article mentions no release date for the TBS show was announced yet. It's been three months since then. Does anyone know if the idea was dropped or is still being run with?

    Just curious, really. IMO, Live action is no substitute for the animated stuff.

    teh live action sailor travesty was american.. Azu live action is not. Don't abandon all hope :D

    apparently I'm not :D I was thinking of the legendary Saban Sailor Moon trailer This live action series you were talking about can in no way be nearly as bas as this one would have been. Take some time to find the trailer itself, I think it's linked to on that page

    Regardless of any 'nay'-saying, I'm hopeful about this one, I've actually seen some shows with at least one of those actresses in them. Azumanga Daioh is also a series that could have a good live-action transition. Think "no cheesy effects necessary".

    Even thought I've never heard of the seires Igoing to go on the normal rule of an animation is almost always worse than the animation. Are there any exeptions to the rule.
