any badminton players out there or enjoy badminton. Badminton is not that big in Canada but there are teams in high schools. Do you join teams or join clubs of anything? I'm planning to join my school's badminton and i take classes at places with real badminton courts not community center places.

I used to play lots of badminton at high school (since they don't have billiards there :p). And since I got to know a friend at some summer program that included badminton, and she got to be with me in the same class in highschool, well, you can say that I had fun.

After highschool and when I entered college (and after figuring out that she didn't considered me as her friend just a badminton buddy) I didn't play with her in college and well, I really don't care about badminton, I mean, I won't bother myself alot just to play it, but for billiards (pool?) I would! I am a sucker for this sport!!

I like it. I even have a the whole set up. Not up because winter is coming right now. I played it first in High School and then at a friends house. We play just for fun.

Heh the only big thing around here is football... I am told that people far and wide know of 'Bama'. I imagine that most of the people around here have no clue what badminton is.
I like badminton. I learned it in middle school.

I signed up for the badminton club at university today... yet to play, but one of my favourite sports. Played it weekly at my old school. Great fun although I havn't really mastered the flicks yet.

I'd cosider myself a decent rallier.

Ah Badmiton. Pretty much like tennis!, but not as hard... I guess I've played Badmiton a few times in gym class at school, if that counts. I find it relaxing. :D

Played professional badminton for 5 years or so. You know, clubs and all that. I have played in some tournaments, and the highest achievement was when I won the School District Championsship. Some 20-isch players, and I finished first.

Had a really good time when I played, and coach said I had good potential.

Then I twisted my ankle, and never got back to my "perfect" form again :(

Although, I do miss the sport alot, so I might head back to the club and become a coach for the little kiddies or so...

    But yeah, I miss it.

    For those who wonder...my gear:

    Yonex Isometric-75MF Light
    Yonex Armortec-800
    Victor AL-2500

Both Yonex rackets were modified with BG-85 strings, with a gauge level 20. While the Victor one had one with BG-83 strings.

Well, not REALLY that. You need alot of skills to handle those bulldogs coming towards you...

Quiet frankly, all sports have their complicated ingredients.

I have a racket that came with this set I bought for 25 bucks. There are few games in in there actually. Obviosly the rackets are not as good as Teddz but they still work.

It seams liks sports have become complicated. They are adding to many rules and to many special equipment. Tag. All you need is a few people and a person to be it. Easyest sport out there. If golf is a sport then tag is a sport. At some point I think Nike will come out with the Tag Shoe.
