what do you think on mixing people of different bands....like audioslave, or from the same bands, like slipknot and stone sour/murderdolls.
personally, i like stone sour and audioslave. i havent heard enough of murderdolls to say anything. so. yeah.

There is a lot of that in the Norweigen Black metal scene. A lot of guys from other bands coming togeth to for a so called super group like Arcturus, Bork Nagar etc and usualy the output is pretty damn good.

Same goes for prog rock bands, they're always dong stuff together, again with a bunch of highly skilled musicans it's usually pretty cool.

Down rock. Lead by Phil Anselmo of Pantera, guitarist from Morbid Angel, other people. Together they sure do rock.

Mix bands can be good. Yes.

Yeah ya gotta dig those crazy norwiegen names(and crazy norwiegens).
There's plenty more but Bork Nagar is probably the most amusing.
The music is anything but amusing though. Nasty stuff. Great stuff but nasty none the less.

Ya know oddly enough I've never even heard one Down song. It's just one of those bands that always manages to escape my ear. If I ever ask my buddy for a loan of one of their CDs, he forgets it.

lol, Dave Grohl doesn't count, he's in every band on the planet, tbh :D

    Audioslave are great.

But tbh, sessions generally end up better than actually forming a band.... look at Rory Gallagher's sessions with John Lee Hooker, etc.
