    AWESOME!!!

Boy, was this comic worth the wait. This isn't even in the same universe as the Gold Key comics back in 79-80. What I am most happy about, and that Alex Ross insisted on, is that the artwork done in this comic stays true to the drawings from the series, and it certainly does. There are slight enhancements to the characters that make them that much better.

    Some observations:

    - Keyop talks normal, which makes for a much better read

    - Tiny looks a little more boyish, which is good because he's 17

    - Jason finally shows his ladies-man image, especially on the second-to-last page

    - Princess' hair is still green, which I thought I wouldn't like but now don't mind because...

    - Princess has some very delicious-looking lips!

You know Alex was a big Battle of the Planets fan because he's adding some hidden continuity. For instance, the Spectrans in disguise on the oilrig are right out of one of the episodes.

    There were two surprises:

    - Chief Anderson calls the team "The Gatchaman" and not "G-Force." I wonder what other crossovers there will be between Battle of the Planets and Gatchaman. This could be the best of both worlds, but I hope they don't carry that too far.

    - No Zark. Although we all agree Zark is a dork, I was looking forward to seeing how they presented him in a dark comic. Maybe the way to do that is to not have him at all? I do hope he shows up somewhere.

The only downfall is you read a book in a matter of minutes, and then have to wait another month for the next! I picked up one of each cover, including the foil one. They are definitely cool!

It was, indeed, excellent. ^_^ I'm not sure about Jason's little scene on the second-to-last page. I think I may tape over Jason's partner so my little bro' can read it. (May also pen over the porn reference.) He's old enough to appreciate the darker aspect of the comic, but I don't want to be the one who gives him his first sex education lesson. ^_^ I've had to fumble around before when I downloaded a really messed up version of FFVIII and, not knowing it had been hacked into, let him watch. With my dad in the room. I've never quit, uninstalled, and deleted anything so fast in my life. Anyways, I don't care for it, my parents would kill me. Hopefully I won't be taping up anymore issues. (I know, I know, it isn't *that* bad. But it's enough.)
N-E-Wayz, great comic. Can't wait for next month's issue.

Yeah, I never in a million years thought I would be reading about Keyop's porn stash! That caught me a little off guard, but this is a slightly darker Battle of the Planets and that may be a sign of the avenue this comic will take.

Amazingly, we didn't get a glimpse of Princess' underwear! It seems every other drawing of G-Force the past year has almost been a x-rated with Princess. Personally, I could do with out that. But as I said above, I love those lips! :)

Yeah, it really mainly surprised me because pretty muchly all of the ten-year-old boys in town are sure that girls are "icky". Anyways, I did tape over the chick, pen over the porn ref., and even marked out the General's expletive. I don't want my brother into that stuff, and even though I could just not let him read it, I'm of the opinion that if you won't let someone read it because of you moral ethics, then it's hypocritical to read it yourself. ^_^ So on the tape went. I don't think it will go much further than that, but if it does, I've got plenty of tape. I really hope it doesn't go that way, it isn't what BotP, or even Gatch, is about. The Princess pics *are* rather annoying. I have pictures of some of the Gatch LD covers, and from the looks of it, this is no new thing. However, the comic was free of it (except for one of the covers) and that was very much appreciated. Anyways, I've given you about a dollar's worth of my opinions, instead of the normal two cents, so talk later,
