Battle of the Planets/Top Cow Comic News & Pics

I'm glad Rhino is insisting that the characters be drawn to their liking in the original show. I saw the two pictures from the second link, and I didn't like then at all. Zoltar looks like the wacked-out Kelley Jones incarnation of Batman. So, to me it's worth the delay getting these characters to look like what they're supposed to do. This is one of the reasons I disliked the Gatchaman OAVs.

The mention of Rhino releasing Battle of the Planets in a boxed set caught my eye, but the real treat was "possibly a new animated feature." How cool would that be, with all the surviving voice actors?

This summer is going to be awesome for Battle of the Planets!!!

As to the possibility of a new animated series, thoughts are a mix:

1/3 We'll see
1/3 Oh yeah!
1/3 Oh my...


I think they have enough regard for the starting material to want to do a good job no matter what they're working with. This is going to be fun.

Does anyone know if the preview is still going to be out with Universe #7?

And in the meantime...pocket money will remain low as it gets spent on DVDs.
