Manga Battle Royale

im not sure if this goes here, but has anyone read the battle royale series?

 

I own the dvd, the novel and 1-6 of the Battle Royale Manga.

Yes, ah Battle Royale. The drawings are so brutal and gorey, but in a good way ! I enjoy it to the max, and notice: The story is a little more detailed than the movie.

 

Just a little question?

Is the movie based on the mangas or novel?

 

It's basically the same story in both the Novel and Manga. The first movie is based on the Novel, the manga was made afterwards I believe.

 

i have the book and im trying to get my hands on the manga. the manga just came out. jeez, i never thought i would read anything quite that... gorey. off hand, i think some of the charas deserved to die. *cough* mitsuko and kazuo*cough

 

I have volumes 1-6 of the manga, it is very enjoyable with it going into alot more detail than the movie (background info on the majority of characters so far). The drawings as Teddz says are great. The only let down would be the translation which is quite poor at times.

Volume 7 is due out 1st of June 2004, it seems so far away :/
