Art Contests and Games Battle thingy ~ Artists Duke it Out!

Test your skills

Alright, here's the idea: a team of artists, two to a team, battle another two-artist team! One artist does the lineart, while the other does the coloring.
The Theme: Two battling mythical creatures
Draw two mythilogical beasts duking it out!

So, a review:
1. Find a partner. One does lineart, one does coloring!
2. Challenge other teams!! If we get more than one challenger, you can battle the winner of the first battle. If we get lots of people who want to battle, then I'll pair you off.
3. a. First person does the lineart! Send it to the second person
3. b. Second person colors it! CG it if you can, or just print it out and color it the old fashioned way!

P.S. i didnt type this its an idea from some guy at megatokyo. I just figured it might pretty cool.

but(theres alwasy a but ) i cant draw beasts, so i would have to be the cg'er....

i'm with chej... sounds like fun, but i don't think i could draw a beast. (maybe a portrait would qualify )..

 

That's cool, Okami! I could imagine some pretty nuts competition in the future. To make it easier for artists who have a hard time creating monsters, maybe there could be a Novice division and an Advanced one. Just a suggestion. I figure, the Novice division is for people who just want some fun, or can't draw very well but still want to enter. Then the Advanced division can be for pairs who are more serious and wanna dazzle us with some solid skills.

Hmmm, should I enter? I haven't drawn monsters or creatures since I was a lil kid.

 

ok ummmm since most of you guys dont draw beasts hmmmm i guess we could go with Seraphinx's idea or we could draw male and female warriors or somethin

Whoa, four divisions now? (instead of one or two) We'll need 16 artists to have just one battle in each division!

But I guess we don't have to make use of every division. And there probably are enough newcomers to the Art forum to fill up the Novice divisions. Yeah! In turn, as long as the veterans stick to the Advanced divisions, there might be enough competitors for a decent rumble.

I actually drew the picture a year ago though so my drawing abilities are indeed better than that...
I dunno I'll have enough time to think up and draw something... then again maybe I will... I wouldn't mind being a cg partner, or a drawer no big to me.

I wouldn't mind being with Saber, he does pretty good lineart.

I suppose it all depends on if anyone wants me in thier team.

The other day, the modem that I had my internet connection through died... So I'm afraid I won't get much internet time for awhile...
