    OOC:
Okay, I was looking around at other forums in the Roleplay section, and most of them are just people continueing a storyline or something of the sort. What I suggest here, is a real game, with real characters who can be hurt, killed, scarred. It is all very simple and based completely on numbers. Each character would have a certain amount of numbers to allocate to the character, and the character would of course have quirks, or given 1 special thing that the player can request (I, the DM would determine if its realistic and rational enough to be given of course). Here is an example of a character and how the numbers work (basically an AD&D setup)

    Character Null.
He can spend 30 points on his attributes.
    Strength: (self-explanatory)
Dexterity: (speed, agility, hand-eye coordination, doding a thrown rock is used by dex)
Constitution: (how tough you are, how much damage you can take)
Aura: (this is the power of the soul)
Intelligence: (kind of self-explanatory, basically how fast you learn)
Wisdom: (how much can you cram into your brain? this tells you)

The possibilities are endless, you can make a really strong character, really fast, really smart, or whatever, and this is all based on a set of rules, not just whatever someone types in happens you see?
There would also be levels, 1-250. Or whatever, if the thread got too large we would move on, the difference about this kind of roleplay is you do not post your character to other people, you post where your character is, what he/she is doing, and then someone else can join in, you never know anything about each other, but if you plan on throwing a punch, a rock, or engaging in combat it would be far more advanced and all set on what your characters stats are, or what skills they wish to use. Again, the possibilities are endless, and this thread here is just to throw ideas around, if anyone has any, post them. I can already run a game based off 3rd edition D&D rules, which isnt hard, the only problem is it is very complicated for the players, and if someone is engaged in combat it could take several hours for me to determine what happens and post the outcome of Ryu's punch to Ken. I would keep all the character sheets in a folder, and use them as reference, you would gain experience as I see fit, lets say you post that your character is walking through the town of Gamora, and you want to try and pick someones pocket or you go to the bar and I tell you that there is a big, hairy-armed man there who is picking fights, and you want to shut him up, again possibilites are what counts, so I think I have typed enough, this idea probably and most likely will not work because the base of players is not high enough and nobody can be around 24 hours to roleplay at a forum, it just isn't like tabletop where you are there for a few hours and have access to everything, and the players are there. Here we have to go slow, but if it got big enough, I think the rewards of a fun-filled, level 200 character who you have been roleplaying for 6 months would be grand. Thank you for reading all this if you even did.
    Respectfully,

Ugh I can see point-\/\/hores abusing this very easily.

BTW, for reference, Wisdom in D&D is more actually how aware of situations and such you are.

For example: High Int, Low Wis: Absent minded professor.

Low Int, High Wis: Lets say theres a farmer who knows very well how the world works, but he couldn't pass a test to safe his life. He has practical knowledge.

I know how D&D rules work, I wasn't trying to give exact examples of the rules just how I would do it, I can already see that the kids here prefer using chaotic messages that have no realism involved whatsoever, so I'll end this thread with this post.
