Duh... I doon know. It couldn't be the one with the power of a snes that is backwards compatable with the best games, graphics et al or anything. No, that would be stupid.

Though obviously the Advanced has the most power and best graphics, I must add that the original had a friggin HUGE lifespan.

Mine served me for eight or nine years before it finally died, and that was a lot of mistreatment. Also, the grey part of the screen had broken off, meaning that the real nads of the system were exposed, and it STILL didn't die.

It was amazing... *sniff* so many memories... most if not all of grade school and most of high school....

    *salutes*

Gameboy advanced. Sure, the old gameboy astounds me as well (like the NES) with its total nostalgia...and you can be certain to find me playing my friends Mario Land from time to time, wondering how I ever found the game hard. But the advanced is a such a multi-tasking little bugger that I can't help but love it (though I don't own one). First of all, SNES power in your grips and games coming for it that never bothered to make it on these shores.

Second is the backwards compatability, which means I can *STILL* play Mario Land!

Third is that it could act as a standing controller for the Gamecube. Now, if that isn't one little amazing machine, well...umm...call my sister cute and give me cake. That way, I win no matter what the cost!!!

The big thing I'm worried about for GBA is developer laziness.

With all that prettiness and virtually no competition, developers can just make a game look nice and give no thought to play.

I mean, they pulled off some amazing and fun stuff for the original GB. Even simplistic games like Donkey Kong, Mario Land and Kirby were delightful fun.

And they had to be fun. Look what they were up against: a full colour portable you could play in the dark (the Game Gear). Then there was the much less successful Sega Nomad that could play GG and Genesis games.

So developers realized that the games had better be good or they wouldn't make much money.

Now granted crap games did come for the GB, but so far I haven't been too impressed by the stuff I've seen on GBA in terms of original games. I do want to try that Golden Sun (or whatever it is) RPG though, that looks like it has potential.

Any reccomendations for GBA? I've had the thing for months and only have a few GBA-specific games.

In my opinion(but it seems in noone elses), Golden Sun is way overrated. It's just a rip off of the FF games, mostly 5. The story is woefull and I never felt any motivation to finish it. The only reason I did was because I was in sligo with no TV, PC or console and I had beated all my other GB games, and read all the books I had brought with me. The game always feels like it could end at any moment, then it does. It just suddenly ends, without warning, at what seems like half way through the game. It's a total gyp, just to get you to buy the sequel. I don't think I shall be buying it though.
As for recomendations, Castlevania, Advance Wars, Speedball 2, Street Fighter 2(+whatever the suffix is) and Chu Chu Rocket. All kick *** games.

Id have to say gameboy advance has the best graphics and best sound. The game I like the most on the system is Castlevania: Circle of the moon. For selection of games you can play all past gameboy games on the system so I think its the ultimate gameboy.
