    1 - 3 stars = Members
    4 Silver stars = Moderators
    5 Silver stars = Super Moderators
    5 Gold stars = Admins

    Actually Teddz, it's a good question. The faq's DON'T have any mention of stars, even though they do correspond to how many posts you have. But overall they're just there as decoration since everyone also has a post count beneath their location and join date.
