Art Contests and Games BJP Cook Book Cover Contest [deadline April 1st, 2006]

A few members including myself have decided to get together and make a cook book. We need a cover so we want to ask our dear friends in art to help. So here is the contest.

BJP Cook Book Cover Contest

1. Any medium is welcome. And any style is welcome.

2. The image size must be longer then wider. Think like in a book format.

3. It must be under 800 pixels wide.

4. Must have BJP Cook Book written on cover.


Entries: 5 max per person

Judges: BJP Cook Book Editors that have been choosen to judge. Basher, Ragnarok, and Shijin.

 

Well, I totally stink at Photoshop and I only know how to use Paint (not extremely well, mind you), so I'm stuck with no entry and judging everyone else's masterpiece's. I'm all for judging though, just call me Simon.

Is there a certain thing they want other than book form and saying 'BJP cookbook' . Or Are we just free to do whatever?

 

Free to do whatever. It just has to follow the guidelines I posted.

 

It'll be used for the front page of the cook book I'm working on. Try to keep it under 800 pixels wide, at most. There are still those that use really low screen resolutions (though I'm not one anymore 1280x1024 ftw )

Other than that, anything goes I'd say, so long as it'd look nice. I'm thinking the background will be a light brown or yellowish brown, I'm thinking the colour of really old paper, if that helps.

 

Can you name a list of editors, because now im confused...HOW many is there...there taking over...

 

I think since I'm the one who's making the thing that privelege belongs to me.

As far as I know there's Basher, myself, Ashika, and Shijin, though there's probably more. But this is for the cover of the book, not the editors, isn't it? I do need a cover image.

 

Yep that is all it looks like. So people get to work.

Right now we need a cover. Look at a books cover. That should help some.

 

I think this should be extended by a month, seeing as it didn't get a single entry!

Unless you want to be stuck with my crappy MSPaint images, you might want to get some entries in.

Let's say the new deadline is April 1st, and see what we can get from there.

 

Thanks Ragnarok. Seeing as I just remembered when I saw this thread that I wanted to draw something. I haven't been able to think of anything to draw for quite some time. Ill start trying tomarrow....

Shijin is still on but only on weekends. I don't think this will be too much of a problem.

 

Tsk, what happened to the interest in this thing?

Closed without a single entry, even after an extension...

 

Atleast we are getting a few recipes. I was hoping for a few posts atleast.
