Recreation BJP Magazine?!?

Do you think its possible to make a BJP magazine, you can put the newest mangas and anime, anime and manga review, others, you can put stuff about games too...different members do different things...still I know this probably isn't possible or was already thought of but still, but would be awsome.

 

Not probable....ever. As much as I'd like it, one, BJP isn't popular enough. If a site should be getting a magazine it should be Boards.IE first. Secondly, I don't think we'd all have the time or money to produce this.

It IS a nice thought though....

I think Cloud or BMS mentioned something similar to this once, like a newsletter in .pdf format or something. For the life of me I can't find it though. :/ Sucks because I remember it being pretty cool.

I'm seeing more and more JP members asking for the forums to be more involved in the world. Someone already suggested a convention, now a magazine. It's just too small. I wish it weren't so, but it's sadly true.

 

The main problem is that members from BJP are from all different parts of the globe, unlike boards.ie where neraly the entire majority is from Ireland.

Unless your going to be doing some sort of subscribtion service for people who want the magazine, i just don't think it would be possible, and even then it would be a lot of effort for a select few people who have a credit card to pay. Not to mention we already have a review section, and games are talked about all the time in the gaming forum. I don't know about anyone else, but i just think that a magazine for an internet forum is completely unesssicary since we can already talk about what we want, people already post reviews and now people are posting podcasts.

 

Still it would be cool to have a BJP magazine, only for members...and if your friends like it then they could buy one...for a minor fee(I still ask myself, what if they join BJP...)

 

Cost and time are key factors. One, who's going to pay for it? Certainly not Cloud and the members may not be to prone on sending in the moeny either. Secondly, who has the time. We all have lives and always have something going on.

 

I have spare time, if we could I would spend A LOT of time on it, really that would be a cool thing to do...and it might give BJP a nice little activity

 

With the right programs and a little patience and time, most people can make an online magazine. Most of us dont have that luxury. But since you do, you could let the Daily/Weekly/Monthly issue of "BJP Insider" <--(ripoff from Anime Insider)
or "Newtype BJP"<---(Do i need to say it?) be my guest.
If the magazine picks up on success, maybe you can charge to read it with paypal. (being totally honest, I wouldn't pay)

The magazine is a good idea...just not everyone has luxuries (time or even location) to work or read it. (Even if we could send them through mail, you know what the cost is to shipping something from here to Canada or even Ireland whenever you want to?)

Hmmm... Yup, I missed out on this one. If anything I say bring back the newsletter, let's not busy ourselves with more things to do. Most of us have jobs or school (me), and some of us are proud parents and have to watch over the chillun'. We might do something like electing people to help with the BJP Newsletter if Cloud allows it.
