Ha ha. That's happened to me before. I mean, BEFORE I got a cell phone, so now I tell everyone to call my cell and never my home phone. Plus, if I'm not around, voicemail helps. Aside from that; I usually tell people what time I am going to call; and carefully decipher our time differences. OR, I tell them a few minutes before hand.

As for cut-outs. My cell doesn't do that. So it's pretty cool.

And yes, MSN and YIM, AIM are all cheaper. I'll have to agree with that one. But then again, there are some people that just prefer to use voice to talk to one another; so that feelings and emotions won't get confused and whatnot. But I totally know where everyone is coming from.

The same goes for sakuma-san (myself)...Except you're better off PMing me about it first; my AOL...I have everyone that isn't on my buddy list blocked; to keep intruders away.

 

Mostly everyone on the Boards lives far away from Florida.

So I really havent used the phone. But MSN, AIM and Yahoo! do the trick. Plus its easier to talk that way. You have time to think what you say and not blurt out a stupid comment.

So practically those are my only ways of regular communication for long distance people. Just plain Convinient.

About 3 weeks ago i finally managed to make a call to Kitty-Ko whos all the way over in Australia. It was really weird hearing her voice, i've heard it before but she has a crappy mic, so it was kinda hard to hear her. But it was such a load of fun, i was able to call her for about 15 minutes for €10, and that was during buisness hours.

 

wow i agree on the aim its a lot cheaper but i really like to talk to some of you or you can call me on my cell..(im asken for one heck of a bill on that one :bleed: ) only available for a short time if you want the number than pm and i may give it to North america only and sum other people ill will hand seleclt..

 

You know, you can hit a button on AIM or MSN that lets you talk to the person on the other end. Just like a phone call, without the charges. ^_^ It's how I talked to Jedimdo for 10+minutes without it costing either of us a fortune.

Okay, so I talked to KaYasha, User18, Nephilim_X and Meaikoh over the phone. That's all I can remember.

 

I barely even call that a conversation!

"...Who is this?"
"Neph."
"...Ness?"
"NEPH."
"Jess?"
"N-E-P-H."
"Who are you?"
"Nephilim X!"
"What?"
"SCOTT."
"I don't know you!"

Still better than the 'accidental' phone call from jedimdo. He was in class, and he called me for some reason, and I didn't realize I wasn't supposed to answer. Not to mention the cellphones cutting out. So, it was like:

"Hello?"
"Umm... Is this Shinryu?"
"I'm sorry?" (Couldn't hear him clearly)
"Is this Shinryu"
"This is Jess... also ("(Jedimdo interrupted by accident)I can't talk right now") known as Shinryu."
(Me) "What?"
"I can't talk right now."
"Oh."
"I'll talk to you later."

It went a lot better when we tried it over MSN.

 

Ha ha. That's funny. I haven't had that happen before. Must of been an amusing phone call.

Isn't it great trying to figure out what the other person is saying with a bad connection?? Better yet, having no clue who the other person is for the first few minutes? Tee hee.

 

Yes, don't worry, I remember! My antenna wasn't up and I couldn't hear very well, and then I felt too stupid to even start a conversation.
