There are eleven graphic novels currently released by Dark Horse in the United States. I don't know how many there will eventually be . . . or even if the entire series has been released in Japan. You'd have to ask somebody more knowledgeable.

I really like what I've read so far (the first three volumes). I was a bit wary of buying the series after Lone Wolf in Cub, since I was afraid they would be too similar to each other, but fortunately for me they are not. The artwork is wonderful in BotI and while Manji is kind of, well, immortal . . . there's still tension in the battles that he fights.

Oh, and Lone Wolf and Cub is 28 volumes long, Teddz.

Calm down, nightwarrior. I was addressing TEDDZ's question. As for yours . . .

Yes, I have heard of it.

On M2A, this may be true, but on another board I go to someone else recently started a BotI topic (coincidentially . . . I found that odd).

I prefer Lone Wolf and Cub, probably because of its emphasis on historical accuracy, but BotI is still damn good.

As I mentioned before, I really like the artwork. The characters also appeal to me . . . I don't want to say anything else, or I'll spoil some of the story for those that haven't read it yet. Oh yeah, and some scenes were a lot more graphic than I expected them to be. But I still really enjoy these comics.

Do you happen to know how may volumes of BotI there will eventually be to complete the entire series?
