This is something really wierd that has happened to my computer.

I thought mainly it was a major bug, but all my old files have blue text, unlike your normal "plain black one".

I was wondering if anyone else have the same problem? It happened when I updated my Xp from Home Edition to Professional Edition. I guessing that this is a graphics card problem but who knows what it is.

I will post a screenshot of it as soon as possible.

The same thing happened to me, I thought it was a virus or something at first or that I changed a setting without knowing. It may have been a new Windows update.

I had the same problem about a month ago. I switched to a different settings and screwed it around a bit and it wventually worked out to back to black. I have no idea what caused it, but if someone knows that would be pretty cool.

Thats happened to me before except not to all my files only some. And they turned like a bright green. They are still like that, I never really thought anything of it. It doesnt bug me because I never really access those files. But it would be nice to know why they are like that.

Well, I could say that this blue text aint my Biggest problem...

Apparently I cannot log onto my computer anymore since "msgina.dll" and "winlogon.exe" (two files for windows logging) is corrupted. Replacing them from Windows XP disc don't work either, but installing another OS on my second drive worked, so currently I am moving my files on C:\ to my backup drives.

have you ran the "disk cleanup" feature recently?
because only the things marked in blue are compressed in NTFS
and also if you see green names, they are encrypted

So basically blue text are in NTFS? Good point, well. I might say that this blue text problem is both and fixed and uneccsary. Just formatted my C: drive, and currently in a desperate need of an anti virus program...

22 spyware on my first internet login after the format...the joy.

22 what exactly? Adaware and others regard some of windows' default settings as 'spyware.' They might be a little overzealous. A lot of cookies show up on their scan too. Did you actually have spyware programs on your pc, programs you would have gotten simply by connecting to the internet?

I guess I wouldn't doubt it. Install all your critical updates etc before connecting to the internet for the first time, or it won't take long before something is exploited.

Well, I reformatted the C drive again, after I copied my files to the 160 GB, and it works smoothly now.
