Uhh...does anyone know how to publish a book? I'm currently writing my own novel, and I wanna know what to do. I know it's a slim chance my book will get published but still, doesn't hurt to try does it not?

Okay, Jam Chii. This is a fairly extensive explaination. First, look up editors. It really depends on what genre your book is. Search the web. Check out magazines. Research various publishing companies. There are usually some ads in the back of publishing magazines. After you pick someone to be your editor, who you think has experience in the field (or a company, like Scholastics), send them a couple of pages of your work. Add a short note, something like Hello, my name is so-and-so. I've heard that you have intrest in this field of writing. Would you please look over a exerpt from what I am currently working on? My phone is , my address is . Thanks, I really appreciate it. Oh, and make sure to check that the editor has intrest in new writers. Also, DON"T WORRY! It can take up to a year for some publishers to get back to you. Don't be discouraged if you don't make it at first. Think out ways to improve your work while you wait for a reply. Good Luck!! :anime: I hope this helps!

You need an agent search for an agent on the web. when you find one
he/she will get you published, editors usually don't take you without an
agent so find yourself an agent.

Ok, for publishing, I'm also working on my novel/manga. um...I found a great place and a small group and I tring to put the finishing product together, One thing to be sure of is, copping righting, you can not trust anyone, or poeple could take your ideas, Where do you lve? I live hong kong, and had to fly over to japan, to get together with some friends, and representatives, to get it started, Over in Japan, it's a lot easier to publish wrighting, most people end up using writting as a career, and then end up with an anime. You just never, as lots of writter, didn't think their writting would ever become a show, but it did! I'm really hoping it will become a manga, my drawings are set togther, to be like a comic, but it's all al of work, but very rewarding. My group is called, Yornasima ugetti, it's like a bunch of people getting togther tring to get something done. It's always better to do things in groups, becuase you have a better chance of getting accepted for publishing. If you wanted a copy, or if any did, I could email one, it is copy righted, I did so back in 2003. The nae of it is called Angel Akina, it's preety big, about 506 pages or so, but if you can get thorugh it all, you'll see how great it is, I hope i helped, if you need any more help, just email me, thanks!

ps: Um.. please excuse my spelling, it's not that good :)
