I have been testing a few browsers lately, since I knew that there was a world beyond simple IE...

first I found out firefox, tight, fast, pop blocker, but slow slow for GIFs...

I have recently found a much faster and much more older browser (in versions) Opera... I have alkways heard from it.. but I never had a recent to use or switch to it, until I tried it.. imagine firefox... faster.. silkier... more like OS X rather than windows of refinement and polish...

I suggest anyone with spare time to try it out... it's really that good
it also has an actual WORKING pause and resume download feature ^^

Bleh. I used Opera for a while, couldn't stand it. Firefox is my browser of choice and I've never had a problem with gifs either. If anything gifs load (and animate) faster (as far as the animation goes, it's the correct speed).

I have used Opera for awhile now, and I love it. It's fast, I compared the speed of IE and Opera to load a simple page, and I must say that Opera is indeed faster.

WHAT!? WHAT'S THIS? YOU BETRAYED ME!!!! YOU SAID FIREFOX WAS THE BEST, AND NOW YOU TELL ME THIS!!!??? :D:D

LOL, just kidding. I might give Opera a try, but I have so many browsers already... IE... Netscape... Firefox... I don't want to have another. Actually, I've never had any problems with Firefox. Not since you told me to get it. There was once, actually, where BJP wouldn't load, and I switched browsers and it worked, but, I love Firefox now...

P.S. Jedimdo, I don't want to hear about it. :p:D YOU know what I'm talking about. ;):D

I have used Opera for a little while and i just couldn't seem to get comfortable with it. I just can't really bring myself to us anythig but Firefox these days. I never really noticed anything wrong with loading gifs tbh.

Opera is, indeed, an excellent browser. For certain reasons I can't test it now. Without it's GIF 'bug', I doubt Opera can win to Firefox.

But it't not like I'm going to change my browser because of a site with a terrible GIF infection :p

That page loaded pretty fast for me with Firefox, actually it took about the same amount of time it takes to load this. So i think i'll stickwith Firefox.

The only thing i noticed was that the page was a bit laggy, but thats something i can live with.

...Didn't notice any problems loading or rendering. I dunno, maybe your computer is the one at fault, not firefox.

    Maybe

You have a point Nephilim. I have problems with my downloads window, while I've used it in other computers without them. I could re-install it but I feel lazy :p I just use GetRight instead, which is much better.

That site gave me no trouble at all. Firefox is, indeed, an excellent browser. Actually, the only problem I have with it, is when I click one of the buttons here, (ie. a smilie, or the quote button) it sticks the quote on the end of my post, instead of where the cursor is locaed.

Other than that, Firefox has proven to be quite superior.

That used to happen to me too but, suddenly, it's just working fine. I don't know what I did
