Ahh, that stuff, I don't know what's it called in Japan, but in Korea(Corea) it's known as Ho-Phang (or Pan)

    Kanji diva here

All I could make out was 'something, something, snow, something' and in the square the monkey is holding 'north, something, something, something'.

Better not give up my day job.

I'm guessing you never fully figured this one out yet, ne, UK?

I think the last guess I heard was "Flower Candy", although there's a "Cloud" in there somewhere?

Speaking of Treats (korean & japanese)

I had a really yummy toffee/taffy type korean candy called Yacht. Don't know how it's spelt, probably not spelt like a boat ^.^

I'm told that it also happens to mean the f word in korean.

    Neh?

    It's not Japanese stuff.

    I think it's chinese food.

What I can read is 'snow mochi', 'new stuff in 2002' and 'product in Beijing'. Mochi is rice cake in Japan, but I don't know what it is in China:)

    Cheers!

I never made it through it, but I took a look at the rest of the packaging, and my response was going to be the same as Mikko, I don't know the Chinese.. (It's all Chinese)

I followed up on this, Arch, and had one of the guys at work identify it (He's originally from China).

He didn't know any English word for it, but he said it's pronounced something like "Fru-Ling Pie"...This was actually a snack that in the past was only allowed to be eaten by members of the royal family. The "jam" you described is actually some kind of fruit paste that he has no idea of the make up...

I love learning things from him, he's such a cool guy...and a lot of discussions that crop up from these sort of things are very interesting...
