Recreation can anyone answer this????

this is just a bit of fun so if you already know the answer then dont just post it up cos that will ruin the fun.

and i want to see you guys squirm

3 people go into a shop.
between them they have 30 pounds (10 pounds each)
they want to buy a tv... wow arnt they lucky they found a tv for 30 pounds exactly
they are getting ready to buy the tv when the shop owner come over and says "your in luck that tv has been reduced from 30 to 25 pounds".
they are all happy and buy the tv but when the shop keeper goes to give them their change there is a problem.
there is change of 5 pounds and 5 pounds wont split 3 ways, "il tell you what il do" il give each of you 1 pound back and keep 2 pounds for myself.
"that seems fair enough" they say and leave the shop.
but they later think about this and this is what they found:


if each of them payed 10 pounds and got given 1 pound back then they each only payed 9 pounds. 3 x 9 = 27
the shop keeper kept 2 pounds for himself but
27+2 is only 29 pounds what happened to the remaining pound??

 

no there is no tricks no taxes no one steals anything

 

The answer is that if the shopkeep were to keep two pounds, it should be subtracted from the 27, not added.

If you subtract 27 - 2 = 25 pounds, the cost of the television. That is where the extra went, because there was no extra.

 

A different version of this riddle was posted here by Nakoruru. It uses the same concept and the same numbers, just that it's at a hotel and uses a bellboy to deliver the 3 bucks/pounds.

Oh, btw, the answer is nine.

There's an airplane flying over countries A, B, and C. Suddenly, as the plane approaches the point where the three countries conjoin, they experience extreme turbulence and the pilot loses control of the craft. Just their luck, they crash at the exact point where the three countries meet. None of the people on the plane were from any of the three countries. Where do they bury the survivors?

well i imagine if you meet the girl of your dreams at a party and there is a chance of you hooking up someone will most definatly want the condom so no.
