Eirtaku Cartoon Network showing some decent new anime soon

I've just seen an add on CN advertising Blue Submarine No. 6.
It a cool 6 part series which mixes CG with cell animation in a similar way to Blood:TLV.

The CG was done by GONZO who did Macross Plus, Macross 7 and loads of other series too.

I think it said it was starting next Friday.

I just saw it today and I think it was awesome. I didn't expect it to be around 2 hours long but the longer the better, I think!
The CGI graphics were awesome and they came very close to the Final Fantasy movie's graphics for sheer brilliance. Hayami was a brilliant lead character. The dialogue was spot on and the animation cels were great.
If there was one problem, I think it would have to be the music. The saxaphone did not suit it. But the theme music by 'THE THRILL' was very well done. I wish it was played some more throughout the film instead of just the end, but, It doesn't matted the movie was just fantasic.
I think it's time Cartoon Network started showing us some more of that quality anime.
The film is on again tonight at 10pm...I think I'll see it again.

 

I missed the first showing 'cause I got called in to work.
It's think its repeated tommorrow so I'll hopefully catch it then.

Don't know...
There was no news of repeats but I definatly think it will be shown again sometime.
Cartoon Network usually repeat any film they show so I doubt that this is the last time it will be shown.

I've only watched to first 25 minutes so far but it seems pretty crappy.

The CG is great but the cell animation is poor and the music doesn't seem to fit in with the scenes at all.

I haven't bothered finish it 'cause I can't seem to get away from Macross 7, still another 20 episodes to go.
Dirty habit it is.

 

ehhh, it was fair..

the music was terrible.... it was like the action scenes were set at the Guiness Cork Jazz Festival.
the animation was sweet enough though.
it had one of those 'what the @#%$' endings though so that sums it up entirely if you ask me.

mumble mumble gundam wing mutter

 

I'm not even sure if I can be arsed watching the entire thing.
