CLAMP Works CCS: New Series!

It's called Tsubasa and features Sakura, Syaoran, Yukito and Touya, all living in the city of clow. it's like, alternate unverse and Syaoran is like the main character.

I find this to be a bit ridiculus, damn CLAMP. >.<

I'd like to see that. ^_^;; It seems funny to me. And interesting. Besides, never underestimate CLAMP.

 

It's true. CCS does have a new series. I have seen a couple of pages of it (in Japanese).

It also has some characters from other CLAMP Mangas.

 

When I first heard about it I thought it was a cool idea. Poor Syaoran wasn't much of a character in my opinion other than providing romance to it. I always believed that at first they had intended Yukito to be Sakura's love for the manga but then decided to change it to Syaoran and now they decided to have him as a major character cause he sort of lacked it in CCS. I can't wait to read it ^_^

 

That picture... It's.... It's unbelievably UGLY!!! Well compared to the other art that CLAMP did for CCS....

 

I think it's pretty cute. Lots better than the last CCS series.

 

The Skinny on Tsubasa - RESERVoir CHRoNiCLe

I got the first two volumes today, including the hardcover special edition of volume 2 (it's soooo cool!!)

The plot summary that we got in the first post seems to be pretty accurate by the pictures; I haven't been able to read through properly yet. It's definitely got a lot of veteran CLAMP characters in it recast in a new world with some different relationships. As mentioned, Sakura, Shaoran, Touya, and Yukito are main characters in the series. It seems Fujitaka was Shaoran's father in this world. It looks like Tomoyo and Chii, like Sakura, are princesses with champions. And when Sakura and Shaoran cross the dimensions, they end up staying in the home of Sorata and Arashi (from X)!

Tsubasa - RESERVoir CHRoNiCLe looks like a very exciting series. It's definitely slanted toward the shounen side, with lots of heavy magical battles. As expected, the art is consistently beautiful throughout. I look forward to bearing down and reading through this with my dictionary!

 

whee, there's a new series?? i think it will be good (if i ever lay eyes on it) especially if you have CCS foundation. congrats, YokoburiKinura, for getting the volumes! tell us how it goes, huh?

 

YokoburiKinura Where did you get the mangas? Wow tell me how it is!! It seems interesting I couldn't see the sample picture, my com. is a peice of junk...ah well at least I can still post. It's majorly slow and has many problems. :anime:

 

You can get the manga at plenty of anime import stores. Most range from $5-6 depending on the store.

For me, I like it because Syaoran was always my favorite chara in CS, and now he's getting some spotlight, so I'm glad. However, the style is only so-so IMO.

 

I got it at Akadot-Retail. They go out of their way to special-order things, so they're worth checking out.

 

Cool!! I'm gonna have to check it out!! By the way the english version isn't out right? They haven't translated it yet right?

 

Volume 1 will be out in April from Del Rey.

On the side, Clamp will be re-releasing Cardcaptor Sakura in Japan, with volume 1 on sale March 5. The new volumes will be the A4 size (the size of Tokyo Babylon and Clover) and will cost 952 Yen each.

The covers are newly drawn ones, featuring the same costumes as the original, but in different poses. Vol. 1 will feature the same as the original, but it appears that volume 2 will feature the outfit from Vol. 4.

It's definetly worth trying.

I was able to read a few sample pages in the back of XXXholic and I thought it was pretty good. The art seems a little tad different...kinda pencil-sketchy type you know...but it still is really good. Hahaha I like Sakura's clothes and Syoran's too.

 

I read volume 1, and can't wait till volume 2. lol I hear in future volumes the Clamp Campus Detectives are going to make a cameo (thats right...in another manga now)

Oh boy, I hope Fuuma and Kamui from X might appear n_n, Sorata and Arashi were great in v.1- lol


edit: OH FRIGGIN SnaP SON! I just figured out that it was Shougo Asagi from The X MOVIE IS IN TSUBASSA v2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and the end of v1)

i read it i love it and i plan on getting the third one right when it comes out. i think i alredy have it reserved. (i already have the first and second) the manga is a mix of all the clamp favs but li and sakura are the main characters. there are also some new characters in the manga.
