CLAMP Works CCS: What do you think of Meiling Li?

    Meiling Li

    Who liked Meiling Li? She only appeared in the anime of CCS, not the manga. She likes Shaoran very much and thinks of Sakura as her rival. Did you like her personality? Do you think she was pointless in the anime?

    She wasnt in the manga? *blink* i need to get out more! Well me personally, i didnt like her, cuz i always thought she just got in the way of Sakura and Li. I say blah on her. They didnt really need her at all! Maybe just to be a pain in da booty. ^^

    You know what, I feel quite sorry for Meilin because in one episode(forgot which one-sorry!) Meilin came to visit Sakura and the others(this was after she'd moved back home) and the group were attacked by Eriol and his magic. Meilin did a LOT of fighting but at the end everyone thanked Sakura for saving them and Meilin looked really sad:( Anyway, she went back to Shaoran'a house and although she was upset she put on a smile and left without even looking at his face-maybe she was crying? I think Meilin feels a bit rivaled by Sakura but she puts on that attitude to hide her insecurities.

    At first, I thought Meilin was a bit of a pain - I didn't see the point of her being there at all. But in the final movie (The Sealed Card), she with the help of Tomoyo tries her very best to bring Sakura and Syaoran together, even after Syaoran broke off their engagement (such a sad episode! :( )because of his love for Sakura. So she's not a bad sort after all. :)

    Well, yeah she wasn't in the manga. I too felt a litle sorry for her in the anime, because Sakura got all the credit, and Sakura got Syaoran, too...
    Even though she was snob to Sakura sometimes, you gotta admit her outfit and hair was cool, and she fights really good.

    She had every right to be snobby to Sakura if you ask me. What she did was nothing compared to what Sakura did.

    I like her character design! I've seen her in CCS movie... However it's sad to hear that she won't appear in the manga. I haven't finished reading the manga yet...T_T

    I think Meiling is a great character. She's so adorable, and is my favorite character of this series. Just because she doesn't have any awesome, magical powers doesn't mean that she useless. Her powers lie within her own strength. You don't have to be a magician to be useful.;)

    I love her, she kicks butt.

    And yes it's very unfortuante that she's not in the manga. She was ppartently just to make the anime more interesting. it worked tho!
