o.k lets see who can do the best comic page. Only one page to show your skills, no more! Put wot ever u like in the page.Originality would be appreciated.

 

heres a quick attmpt a just did to get the ball rolling. its kinda experimental

 

sorry saber samurai is my favourite genre , or stuff with sweet swords and i like blood. Il post a non samurai strip soon, tho it will have swords....and most likely blood . Lets see what you can do Saber....

 

hey man feel free to do woteva you want (penicl cg etc), all i ask is do the best comic page u can! btw im not totaly obsessed with gore, i like to try and make the pages cinematic and have good angels and stances of chracters etc. . Feel free to critique (however its spelt ) my work if u see imporvements that can be made

 

This came out absurdly crappy... just something that I decided to do while in school, and by the time I decided to semi-take it seriously was a bit too late but I decided to present this as is. Was a ***** to scan and resize but I think I got it down, though I will have to type up the wording since it's hard to read, so...

FIRST FRAME:
Female: Are you even listening?
Male: Sorry... what'd y'say?

SECOND FRAME:
Female: Nevermind... the sun's almost up, Landon.
Male: Yeah...
Female: You miss it this much?
Male: Guess I do...
Male: Been so long since I've seen it.
Female: I guess a downside to being changed, hm, Land?

THIRD FRAME:
Male: They say...
Male: The last time you see the sun is the best

FOURTH FRAME:
Male: You were born. You didn't have the luxury of sunrises and sunsets.
Female: Well, now I do.

FIFTH FRAME:
Female: A lot like Romeo and Juliet, ain't it, Land?
Male: Huh?
Female: Nothing.
Male: Heheh. I love you... Juliet
Female: Ha. I love you, too, Romeo.

 

nice style. Like the simplistic kinda dialouge. I also especially like the first box, the way its drawn makes it looks as if the guy isnt listerning to her (which is obvious wot u were trying to do) i think perhaps the Silhouette could have been used in the box where just the sun is coming up, to make it dramatic - thats just my persoanl opinion. Part from that nice, kinda reminds me of clamp style the way u draw faces

I'm not going to make another page, I have an idea in mind...
Oh, it'll be quite a suprise to people who check my site in a while and already found out the last update was about 3 months ago...
But, it'll be a nice suprise, I promise...

Ah well, I put this up as a comic page because I haven't draw anything else lately..

 

hey man thats some nice work! Like the chracters to, and the comedic conversations . Thumbs up for drawings, btw u ever played final fantsay 10, the monk dude reminds me a little of the guy with his arm in the sling off that. One thing id personaly like to see more of all the character, as in more shots which include them from head to toe, n less of the close ups - buts thats me. Part from that very good, keep up good work

 

The closeup thing is why I'm redoing the pages (sorry for spoiling a bit of the suprise already.)
And I still wonder why the monk reminds you of Auron. I know they're both a bit older, but that's where it ends

 

yeh, the fact that hes older, n dosent say as much, and the top his outfit round his face is similar to aurons outfit - if i remember correctly. Part from that your right , i dunno he just reminds me of him.

 

Okay, I've been "persuaded" to enter, so I just thought I'd say that it's getting there. As in, I've started, but it's not done yet. When it gets done, it'll be up.

 

Oh yah, that part.. but alot of characters seem to have high collars lately, so you cannot blame me for that ^_^
