Now, let's discuss the other half of the story's focus, the notorious Ein. The solidified details are that this demon's destiny is interwoven with Minato's after his jealous wife turns him into a seed and he is eaten by the unlucky high schooler. Why? Because Ein is a demon with an eye for women.

He's a womanizer, that is - he's a manipulative demon who works with women's psyche in order to take advantage of them. You could say he has varied success at this activity. After centuries of practice he still hasn't figured women out entirely, so despite all of his practice, he fails on many attempts. These are the majority of his advances, and are lecherous old man/horny boy attacks and mannerisms.

However - when Ein truly desires a woman (that is, not a quick looker he happens to pass on the street, but a true object of his desire), he is enchanting enough to slowly charm them given enough time. He takes his time to truly know their inner workings until he can respond to their every action with the most appropriate reaction. This is Ein at his polished best - a rare momentous best, but a nearly unbreakable spell.

Lugata was one such target and became the first Ein actually desired long enough to wed. Still, he moved on as with all his desirables when he tired of her company - and ended up in a heap of trouble. This was the first time Ein crossed a Goddess and he wasn't ready for the coming blow.

Ein is a complete opposite to Minato. He is extremely active, loud, and outgoing. Many of his decisions are acted out with little thought, because he's physically fit and mentally manipulate enough to get out of the worst worst-case scenarios. He cares little for Minato, his unfortunate host, and for the heap of trouble he amasses for the boy to deal.

I have a few plot hooks for Ein, but first, some feedback, thoughts, and tweaks on Ein's personality from the writers' desks, please.

Ein! Aha, this should be fun.

I didn't picture him on either of the extremes- not as a Miroku, asking everybody to have his children, or using corny pick-up lines, but nor like the super-bishounen that doesn't need to say anything to get his woman.

So I think that the lecherous old man/horny boy attacks and mannerisms could fit him while he's inside Minato, but we could have Lugata reminiscing sometimes on how 'he wasn't always like this', since she happened to be a woman he was willing to take the time to woo.

I think we also have to remember how long he's been trapped in that seed. I think that naturally, he's a bit antsy, and that could contribute to his loud, boisterous attitude.

He also has probably missed a bit while being stuck inside a seed, so he could be a little out of the loop when he sees some things.

I agree with MT. He shouldn't be like Miroku. Ein should be a little more frisky then BMS put. He has after all been stuck in a seed for who knows how long. He can fight obiviously. He is almost the complete oppisite of Minato. He is very sure of himself.

I think Ein should be a demon not a god. So he should have a few powers. Maybe he can help Minato cheat on a test a few times. Or just for the fun of it change his answers. Minato freaking out and then voicing would be great. Considering Ein is in his partidicament. He should have a little fun. Maybe later on he can start to realize what he is doing to Minato. I think Ein should be in love with himself. Not to the point where he says it all the time.

Ah, this split personality thing, while done many times, still proves to be fun.

The parts of the story that has been revealed denote that Ein is almost a polar opposite of Minato, which can do many things. Ein, first skeptical and wonderous at seeing the new world, several hundred years later, adapts to it quickly - after all, he is a demon. He would adapt to it in questionable ways, of course, with girls mostly. This will cause a lot of conflict between Minato/Ein and Satomi, which can be done in several ways. 1] Satomi confronts Minato (who is then Ein'd) immediately, gets a typical Ein response, goes from there.. 2] Satomi watches it with confused contempt, and in a emotional change in another part of the story, brings all of this up, to a point where Minato has to attempt to explain Ein.

Anyway, Ein, adapting to the real world, would obviously want to 'look good'. Even old perverts know that looks impress. Thus, he starts to do unlikely-Minato things... body building, judo, that kind of thing. That can also develop into something like a favorable symbiosis, or perhaps something else.

Also, naturally, Ein would want to talk alot, just being out of a complete form of thought. So these control periods may be uncontrolled and very long, up to perhaps 10 hours or so, at first, as Ein wants to 'let it all out', so to speak. Later on, when it becomes more controlled, the body may be able to choose the subconscious, which will prove to be interesting at the very least.

Anyhoo, I'll end now. Think more later.

I like the way you think Valant Rapitor.

How about we do both? In the beginning when Ein is in control he acts like Ein. Minato of course tries to hide Ein. Adventually Minato will have to explain Ein.

I agree with Ein wanting to talk alot. He could not only be smooth with the ladies but talkative. Afterall being stuck for awhile with no one to talk to except the bottom of the sea can get a little boring. How long has he been stuck as the seed? 50 years? 100 years? a couple of hundred? thousands?

When Ein first takes over Minato. Minato remembers nothing. But when Ein takes over after introducing himself. Minato knows what is going on.

I think it would be great that Ein has to have Minato's permission to take over. He of course convinces Minato of this. Once they agree to a certain time. The first time Minato was weakened. So, he was able to take over. I could think of a couple of funny can think of a couple of funny scenes with this.

I was kind of wondering about Lugata and Ein. Should there be more information or not?

Lugata can swing one of two ways. She is a goddess after all.

1] 'How dare they flirt with my Ein?!' *zap* A raging comic relief.

2] Playing the prophet, as said before, reminiscing on previous times, becomes a 'voice in the head' of Satomi, if you will, or another major character, as Ein is a part of Minato. Could develop well into an interesting scenario.

    Will elaborate later. Need sleep.

1] The jealous goddess, sealed Ein away because of his various flirtings, furious now that Ein-Minato is flirting with other 'mortals', not even higher beings. Thusly, uses rage (implement as comical relief)

2] The prophet, it's been talked about before, Lugata using reminiscence to think of the past of Ein. Because of this and how Minato and Satomi's a pair, Lugata can become Satomi's voice just as Ein is Minato's.

I definately don't see Lugata following the first suggestion. The prophet trick is better, but still not quite my own preference.

I see Lugata as more innocent and demure - one of those goddesses who never seem to lose face even when things are going terribly wrong. For example, her imprisonment of Ein would have been after an absurb amount of second chances (say 500) where she even then only sealed him rather than doing permanent harm. Of course, this was invisioning Lugata as a character who would not become prominent on the scene until many chapters have passed and Ein has started to get used to the present world around him. This time could be used as an opportunity for Ein to bend the truth and present by his own account a cruel, heartless, jealous raging monster like the first suggestion - only to have his fabricated version of her disproven when she arrives on the scene later.

Well BMS, I don't see Lugata as that mean either. But she did seal her husband away in a seed for 500 years or whatever we decide. Maybe being a seed is worse then death to some people. Atleast when you are dead your not sitting at the bottom of the sea for 500 years. Lugata should be very calm and collective to a point. People can only take so much.

I can see Lugata getting a little ticked off at Ein for flirting with mortals. But not to the point where she would kill people.

Of course Lugata will come to where Ein is at. I think it would be funny if she was able to control Satomi at certain times. But Satomi should not know about it. I think Lugata should be a new girl in class that becomes friends with Satomi. She should go up to Minato/Ein and say I know who you are and end the chapter there. A little cliff hanger would be fun.

I agree with BMS that Lugata should be made out as a bad person until Minato meets her thanks to EinHe could be like you got turned into a seed or afraid by/of her? What is wrong with you? And start laughing. Ein could be like you don't understand what it is like being with this woman. She may be nice now but don't get on her bad side. Minato is still laughing.

I think it's an excellent idea if Lugata is the new girl, and I definitely think that Ein should paint a picture of a terribly jealous and vengeful Goddess for Minato, and then upon meeting Lugata, Minato sees how she really is.

I think that Lugata should have been calm and patient with Ein at one time, but now she has lost all patience for him. However, to show her calm and patient side, she can be extremely calm and patient with everyone else.

Ah, the new girl factor is excellent. It allows Lugata to get in the story without forming the cliche pair that I've suggested before, heh. I guess it would work, both giving a new 'character' as well as portraying Lugata as a goddess, dealing with both the life of a mortal (so she doesn't look out of place, but still fails due to some necessary uses of power, etc. Even if she is demure and innocent, this is hard - remember, goddess-level powers.) and also dealing with both sides of Minato, something that could be very amusing if Lugata has indeed lost patience with Ein.

Ein can also easily paint the image of Lugata, Vengeful Goddess in the minds of people, say, giving experiences as opposed to whatever religious texts may bring, possibly causing some religious problems that a certain Minato wouldn't want to get in. This can also be amusing, seeing as how Ein and Lugata can probably sense each other acutely, and both would try to 'hide' it, seeing as they'd meet mostly in school at public - and it wouldn't look very nice for the new girl to be with 'Minato', would it? Another thing to think about.

Woops, sorry for taking forever and a day to get around to this forum! ^_^

Well from what I've read about the characters so far, I've sort of imagined Ein to be a typical comedic womanizer - not as obvious as a Miroku, but more subtle (and more successful >_>). Before meeting Lugata women were nothing more then a mere game to him, and so even after he'd toyed with their feelings he never really felt he was doing much of anything wrong. Instead he justified it by saying that staying with those particular women would just lead him to a life of eternal misery, which would in turn make him grumpy and irritable and lead said woman into a life of eternal misery.

As is cliche when a womanizer meets the right woman, Lugata changed all that (or so she thought). Her accepting personality balanced out his more boisterous one, and he thought he may possibly have made a breakthrough in erasing his habits. When he married her it was more on impulse then anything, and at the time he had no regrets on the matter, for he was sure that his womanizing days were over with such a goddess (literally) at his side.

But in the real world, habits aren't always erased so easily. In time, Ein's flirtatious nature fires up again, and while he tries his best to tone it down, it always chooses just the wrong moments to fire up. After a particularly heinous argument with Lugata over brazenly eyeing his nurse (or some other woman), Ein decides to (as usual) act on impulse and get revenge on his wife by firing up his old lecherous habits. Gradually these offenses are repeated to a point where there's no turning back, for both Ein and Lugata. Lugata, of course, knows about all of Ein's affairs, and while she tries to turn a blind eye, there's only so much a woman can take. In a fit of immense fury she seals Ein in a seed, banishing him to the depths of an ocean for (she hopes) eternity (an action she'll later regret).

When Ein is finally reawakened he suffers fits of anger at everyone and everything, heck, how would you feel if you'd been shut in sensory isolation for *insert number* years? Since his personality is so extroverted and boisterous, the feelings were magnified by about ten times. He's raring to throw himself back out at the world, but unlike the typical anime angry hero (who suddenly turns into a jack*** for no apparent reason and blows up at everyone and everything), Ein is more of a cunning/comical character type. He expresses his anger by taking over Minato and ruining his life, since nothing he does in Minato's body has any effect on himself. He justifies this by saying he's doing the boy a favor (since such a shy highschooler can't have much of a social life) when in reality all he's doing is destroying a perfectly content person's life.

As Minato, Ein truly has absolute freedom to do anything he desires, and he takes advantage of this freedom by enjoying the luxuries he never got to enjoy as a married man: both women, mild violence, and practical jokes. To him, he's living the life of an average teenager, while to Minato, he's turned his perfectly normal life overboard into a topsy-turvy mess.

Gradually Ein's anger toward society dissipates, and so his notorious offenses get fewer and fewer, especially since Lugata walks back into his life. Lugata is, of course, incredibly apologetic on impulse after the realization of how heinous the curse she'd inflicted upon Ein was finally hits her, but after she sees his familiar lecherous acts and supposedly "comedic" impulses, she can't be bothered with apologies. Of course, while neither will admit it, Lugata and Ein are both still somewhat attracted to one another, and in a mixture of both denial and jealousy, Lugata subconciously turns up her femininity (is that a word?) a few notches, attracting quite a few stares from some of the more sought after males. Ein sees this and is instantaneously jealous (without even realizing it), and he responds by using Minato to get as much "action" as possible, while seemingly oblivious to Lugata's charm. In time, a minor war rages between Ein and Lugata, who both see each other's various suitors as competition, when really they're both suffering from fear - Ein's fear of commitment and Lugata's fear that Ein can't handle commitment. Whilst all this is going on, of course, poor Minato and *insert name of Minato's g/f (cant remember name) here* suffer as a consequence of their escapades.

*shrug* Just my take on the situation, but I could be pretty off base here.

I agree that Ein and Lugata should sort of sense each other. It would be amusing for Ein to want to have a girl friend at one point. Minato of course wouldn't want it then he gives in. How can Minato hide it from two ladies at once? Maybe at some point Satomi could see him with the other girl. COuld Minato explain Ein? And maybe at some point Ein could like Lugata again. He could be like to Minato that techincally we are married to her. Ah, I could see that play out. You thought your life was hard try having a demon inside of you and a girlfriend who is close friends with his wife.

I think Lugata and Satomi should be very good friends. ^_^ It would get Lugata more involved. Satomi could trust Lugata and leave them alone few times. That is when Ein talks to other woman. Here comes the big fight.

Actually MA your pretty much on base. ^_^
