    i was looking through this section, and saw someone mention that this forum had a chatroom! if it is still up, how does one get to it?

    We own the IRC channel #boards.jp on irc.quakenet.org. Connect to that network and join the channel.

    If you've never used IRC before, and need a little kickstart, Ark wrote a nice guide to get you started, that's stickied in the Computers forum. It's a bit dated, so substitute any instances of #mangatoanime with #boards.jp, as we've rebranded since then.

    i cant seem to get voiced. ive been sitting there for about 30 mins, with 4 mods and five members. i cant see any text except mine, and i get no replies to what i say. i also have no plus sign by my name.

    The channel isn't moderated, therefore the '+' sign does not matter. Nobody's been replying because you've most likely joined in a period of time where most of the chatters are idling.

    #boards.jp isn't a very active channel, mostly because of the "trouble" that you have to go through to enter it. Well, for most of our member, anyway.

    And there are long periods of time where the members idle, like nearly every chat room. Needless to say, we are there, and we will talk, you just gotta be lucky enough to find us when we are talking.
