Cosplay and Conventions Chi from Chobits Cosplay

I have never been to a anime convention but really wanna go, I live in the UK and if I could go to one I would cosplay as CHI in one of her really pretty outfits. What I would like to knoe is if anyone knows where I can find CHI cosplay outfit plans so I can make my own. Does anyone know?. Thank you very much for putting up with this post lol. You could either make it yourself(good luck) or hire someone. Which that is usally expencive (especially if it's chi), Uless you're lucky. Any way, if you go to a search engine and type in "Chobit's costumes, usually a costume site comes up. There most likely going to be a home buisness. So, if that dosn't work, I dont know how you'll ever get a chi out fit.

 

I don't believe in hiring people to make your costume. That's the point of a convention- do it yourself! Chi costumes are fun and easy to make. If I were you, go to your local store, and buy a medievel dress pattern. It's around renfest right now, in fall, so you'll find hundreds of patterns. Alot of them look very similar to Chi's. Vary a little, be creative, and you'll get a great costume. Get an experienced sewer to help you out, however.

There are several costumes. The question is- can you make the rest of you look like Chi?

I've seen some of the freakest Chi's at the convention this year. Over weight people should think twice before cosplaying certain charaters.

 

Oh, another Chi huh? Well let me just tell you- there are WAY too many cosplayers as Chi! I'm serious. No matter what convention you go to, I guarentee you- there's going to be lots and lots of Chis and Freyas running around. Maybe you could try being someone else from Chobits, like Yuzuki, or lifesize Kotoko or Sumomo! (cute!) Sure there has been these, but not as many.

Of course, if your really bent on being the cute Chi (I know, she has so many pretty outfits!) then you could buy some decent cosplay offline. Search google/yahoo/search engine for "Chi cosplay", or try ebay. I would not recommend trying to make it, unless your a good sewer/ good at making costumes. Good Chi costumes are VERY elaborate and beautiful.. usually with lace and trim and puffy dresses... etc. And sometimes buying is expensive, but worth it!

I saw some girls cosplay as Chi with just her bandages on... with all the outfits she has and they wanna come half naked? They could hardly walk, too.

 

My very first kiss was with a girl who was cosplaying as Chi. It was also at AnimeNorth. She was so Kawai.

 

I cosplayed as Chii for Halloween! Only I made my costume. I bought a white nightgown from the thrift store and just added tulle to it. Then I wore it under one of those drapy sleeve peasent tops and wore a corset looking shirt over it. I bought a blond wig and made the ears out of this foam paper from a craft store and sewed them to the wig it looked awesome. Even though no one at my school knew what I was. :anger2:

I dont tend to go to conventions but once my friend dragged me to one and i just went as a random persecom. I ended up seeing like 50 chis and freyas. it was pretty weird.
