CLAMP Works CHO: Chii's Hair

Alright, what's the deal with this? On the cover of the manga, her hair is usually silver, but I hear in the anime her hair is blonde.

 

I don't know, probably the producers to the anime thought that blonde hair "suits" chii more.

I liked the silver better, personally. Although, considering that persocoms are supposed to resemble humans, blonde does make more sense. I'm not going to hold it against them either way.

 

I noticed that too. Chi's hair seems to... change color. In the anime, it's blonde. In the manga, it's silver-ish. On the US DVD covers, her hair is also silver, because the cover illustrations are done by CLAMP themselves. I used to just think it was the way the light shines on it, but perhaps not...

No, as CLAMP designed it, her hair is supposed to be cream colored.

 

She's had several colors. They change with her outfits. ^_^ But hey, atleast it's not blonde to blue. Anime is notorius for that kinda stuff. Ya just gotta shrug it off, I guess.

 

chi's hair is white. it sed so in one ov de volumns.

 

The book said once or twice her hair was "ivory" I suppose that is sort of blonde but not quite as blonde as in the anime.

 

well if it was silver on the manga did it looked nicer than blonde in the anime? I only watched the anime and i think blonde suit her just fine

 

I would imagine this was an art kind of thingg.. On the manga covers it is off-whiteish. But in the anime, it is blonde. On the covers of the manga, they probably did this to contrast the colors more -- Because possibly, the blonde stuck too much out with the dark colors used on most of the manga. But then again, i'm just guessing. ;P It doesn't seem right of her to use ivory/whiteish hair in the anime. Since the anime has dullish kind of colors.

Could. Except. We are comparing it to the anime and the manga. In the anime, it is purely blonde. If I remember, correctly. =/

 

on the back of the manga #1, they put her hair as ivory and its the same for freya(duh)

I like the Silver ALOT better. It just seems more...... Chii-ish to me. No offense to blondes, (some of my best best friends are blondes and I like them alot) but it just seems that every character now a days is blonde. And when they're blonde, they're stuid. WHATS UP WITH THAT!!?? I hate that stereotype. grrrr...... Anyway, I think the silver gives Chii an other wordly air. She's not human, and yet she's so close, it's scary. The silver adds a kind of grace that normally you don't see with ordinary hair colors....

it makes her look very pretty in my opinion.
i just like it silver. it makes her more mysterious.

 

I don't know... :sweat2: it's the same with the Inuyasha manga...kagome's hair is blue in manga and in the anime her hair is black..! :catgirl:

 

Eh, maybe Kagome streaks her hair blue. And as long as Chii is happy with her cute hair, she can do with it what she wants. CCS'sTomoyo could come over and decorate Chii's hair with ribbons and make a great outfit :anime:
