CLAMP Works Cho: Couplings

Have you ever wonder that Chobits have very weird couplings. Especially that bakery guy and that girl(forgot her name) and how old is she still in school?? and that guy runs a bakery should be like 10 year difference??
Also the teacher and Summao.
The hight is the most striking thing of all! again with the bakery guy and that girl-he's way too tall. Goes for Summao and the teacher.
Why are all the guys way taller than the girls?

 

Cuz tall guys are sexy. You're talking about Manager Ueda and Yumi. If you haven't noticed, generally in Asia, age difference dosen't matter. Kenshin and Kaoru are 11 years apart for instance.

And I loved Shimbo, regardless of age. A rare thing for me, specially in an anime/manga. ^^ If I was Ms Shimizu, I really wouldn't care if he was younger than me!

 

i agree tall guys are sexy and with personalities like those who could resist also ofcourse they have to be good looking but they dont always have to be, but at the same time not ohmygod horribly deformed ugly anyway yeah age doesn't matter my mom and dad are 14 years apart so i think age should not matter. you got to admit with couples like that it makes more sense in the guy being older though ^_^

 

I think UFOtaku's definitely right in saying that tall guys are very very cute. I have a tall boyfriend yet im like a freaking giant so it doesnt make that much of a difference.

I loved Shimbo and if any chance a guy who's really like him (specially if he can cook) that would be entirely awesome.

 

yeah tall guys r cute but if u look at almost all if not all of clamps work the men are tall. like in magic knights rayearth 1 and 2 lafarga, eagle, lantis, and ascot(2){dont know if i forgot anyone} are all over 6'6". that is sort of the style of clamp and many other animes not just them. and age doesnt really matter. even in our societies there is normally a big age difference(at least in my family).

 

The most wicked couple in Chobits is that one of Mr. Ueda and a mindless and out of date persocom. The anime only shows when he marries her and when she dies, but the manga tells the whole (and a bit sad) story.
And the other one is that of Minoru/Yuzuki, although it's not couple relationship, (it's closer to brother/sister one).

How ends the manga version? if it's like in the anime, I think it's ok.

the manga ends with Hideki choosing Chi and Chitose Hibiyas picture from the book "a city with no people" of the bunny (i forget how to spell her name) and the person holding hands

I dont find it odd, i think its cool.

Because if you read the mangas, then you should know bout this quote (it in vol 7) "Even if a couple looks a bit odd on the outside, they can still be happy on the inside. Hapiness doesnt come in just one shape."

So, just remember that i may seem weird on the outside, but they are happy and thats what really matters.

I remember that quote! But wasn't it from vol. 7 when Chitose is talking to Hideki about her husband and that is what Icchan used to say to Chitose? I guess I would remember that kind of stuff seeing as at my school's animeclub that I started I had to tell the members about different animes and the focus of my talk was CLAMP's work. I've read all of the volumes of Chobits at least twice and up to vol 7 of "X"( which I LOVE LOVE LOVE!) at least 3 times.

 

Yeah, it was in vol 7, sry, I looked it up in the volumes after i finished reading the series again and was all like..

If you need to know about Chobits, I'm your gal. I have yet to meet anyone who knows as much about Chobits as I do. And i'm starting on a series called Saiyuki( Gensomaiden Saiyuki) and I ADORE that series!

 

I used to attack the barnes and nobles man regularly when he brought out a rackful of new chobits books. Gots them all. The master of the manga! XD Though luv's knowledge of the anime prolly far exceeds mine.

I've noticed that age is never really a crucial factor- just the guy is almost always older. I can relate with that- I don't really like guys my age. XP Older is better. (So long as they're not old enough to be your dad, y'know...)

 

i totally agree with the old enough to be tour dad thing although ueda is old enough to be yumi's dad but he doesn't look it. he still has a baby face. :anime:
