    Chobits: What do you think of it?

    yo. I got some of the first episodes to see what the show was about.. first I was thinking it was an anime I didnt really want to get into.. but I kept getting more episodes cuz it got really interesting. The animation is really good and Chii is really cute. Theirs too many kawaii characters in this show. maybe thats why I like it too. and the anime has a good message. the last episode is really touching.
    if you've seen any of this, tell me what you think. I think the worst part in the anime is the infamous on switch....but let's not talk about that...

    I haven't finished it, though I've gotten all of 'em...and I really like it. Chii's cool, and that dude is hilarious. As soon as my friend is done borrowing it, I plan on making use of a weekend to watch it all straight through.

    I've seen the first episode and uhh I guess it had some potential. The animation is great and I liked the scene with the funny small persocon. Chobits is like Vandred, its a guy's anime. I didnt find it amusing on how he activated Chii!! :shy3: and I guess the guys found it really hilarious =s

    I like the manga but I must amit that when I saw how turned Chii on I was shocked.

    Seen the first episode but it was a long time ago and the club decided to torture us with NieA Under 7 instead of Chobits!

    Chobits = Much MUCH entertaining

    NieA Under 7 = probably what set off the Washington Sniper

    well, the total opposite occurred in my views of this anime. of course the main character is a best disturbed he has a very cute persocon in his room... he's embarassed and it revolves around the fact that he does treat her like a human. He's a very good, noble guy in fact. I think the whole thing with the only one special person can 'enter' bit and the 'on' button didnt even need to be in this anime at all!!!

    The good ol' android theme with a feminine touch

    I think that Chobits is a very good tale about a sort of "impossible" love. It has parts of Astroboy, Saber Marionette and (maybe?) Ghost in the shell. The switch scene was taken from hand maid may.
    Chobits was made by women (clamp) so maybe it has some different point of view for such kind of (shoujo?) anime.

    I've watched it full until episode 07, and I like how the story flows. My favourite character is the little Sumomo, Shinbo's persocon.

    Ah!, and chobits is maybe ecchi, but far from paedophilia. Take a look about what happens when someone tries to use Chii as a mere sexual object.

    And you'll see the hidden power of a chobits. (somewhat like a Saber Marionette in rage)

    I really like Chobits.I've only read part of the manga.It's very good.And about the switch:hey,if that's were it is,you gotta switch it on,am I right?

    P.S.So that's why they call it getting "turned on"(he he)
    ..............I'm sure I've offended someone,so I'll stop now.

    Just got my hands on the first ten episodes and have only had the time to watch the first five of them. In honest I didn't want to watch too far ahead of the club right away. As it is I am one episode ahead and I don't think that I want to destroy my enjoyment at the club or there will be a third show that is being shown at the club that will send me to sleep!

    Coincidentally this is my 150th post!!! Yay slow a**e me!!!

    I must agree with much of that. Chobits starts off very light-hearted, humorous, and a bit perverse (but forgivably perverse). Then it dips into a few twisting stories (which have very similar takes and where Kairo ntoiced the paedophilia), and then finally into mainly dramatic events.

    The result is a curved style that attracts one group of fans, and then ends up dishing out what another group of fans would be looking for. Uhh...did that make sense?

    I must say it doesn't go on par with "hating" it, even if it wasn't as good as it had been. But still again, had it been done differently, I'd be complaining about how it had no point or conclusion to it...

    My final verdict is that Chobits is a good watch. It's not an anime that many would like to keep on their shelves after a viewing or two, but it is definately an entertaining show.

    I've seen all the episodes. It's a good series, and it's CLAMP new anime isn't it?
    I agree with Tooma, there are some scenes that are really disturbing, and perverted. But there are some good themes promoted, such as how can information technology interferre with people's social life. I didn't like the ending, though. I just wanted a little bit more, but that's so typical with anime since they tend to cut out some details from the manga.

    Well, Chobits is one of Clamps famous manga. I personally enjoyed it :) I have currently 6 mangas from toykopop :)

    Yup i really liked Chobits. It was funny and sort of nasty for the *cough* books that Hideki have. I never knew what chobits is till i borrowed it off from a friend. Too bad CLAMP is gone now.

    ::Squeals:: I love this anime suuu much. Even my last roommate picked it up and was like, "This looks interesting". She had nuuu ida what anime was. So! She went and read all of them in one night. ;P She loved it suuu much.

    I love the idea of it, and with the twisted 'narstyness', it actually makes it feel like todays society. . . ^^;

    K, now that that is out of my system, I LOVE CHOBITS!!!

    Especially when....

    I love it at the end when ChiI and Hedeki finally get together and they make the perfect couple!

    But, Sumomo is the best persocom there is.

    SUMOMO RULES!!!

    Yeah, that was too much, and just when I thought "thank goodness it's over" they came back to the "on switch" thing later. It was one of the sickest things Clamp's ever come up with (exculding Myuki chan in wonderland)
