Recreation Choir anyone?

I was just wondering, how many people here are in there schools choir or in a choir.

Is you Choir a Show Choir? Do you have a Choreographer , that comes and teachers you moves? Has your Choir won any compition, or does it compete? What part do you sing? How long have you been in Choir?

I am in Choir my self. I sing Bass 1 in Choir and have been in choir for 5 years ( counting if I stay through this year), I started Choir as soon as I could in school in 5th grade. In 5th grade you know like the little basic show and stuff.. it was kinnda like a play we didn't compete or anything, but I did have a role in the skit.. I was like the host on the game show Who Wants to be Really Really Rich.. take a guess what show that is from. lol I did try out in Middle school each year and make it, we did perform at compitions, and did Fairly well..
The Choir I am in now... Soundsational Singers in very good. It is also a show choir, and like I had to learn how to dance. That was the main reason I went to a Choir Camp over the summer... ( Which was awesome by the way), my choir does have a Choreographer come in his name is Chad Alexander, he is awesome.. I think he is from LA.. he was also at my camp after getting back from a camp in Paris, yeah I couldn't do all that after being at other camps like he was..

The Choir I am in now, does compete and last year did very very well. They went a compition in Branson Missouri ( FAME ) and scored First Place and were invited to sing at Carnegie Hall in NYC, but declined due to the fact it would have cost 1,500 per student to go and the time was in between State Honor Choir and MAPS ( Missouri Testing )

But yeah, that is my choir.. I am planning on staying in the Choir untill I graduate, thats if I make the choir the next few years of course.

So What about you all?

 

Well, I sung soprano in a chior for about three years.. Though when I started middle school, the program really sucked. Now that my second year in middle school year is starting up again, we have a new schedule that doesn't allow me to particiapate in both band and chior. So I had to dump chior. Though I might start up again in High School or something. We never went to any competitions, except for one, that was more of an individual thing. Only a few people went, and they got pretty good scores, so that's all fine and good. though I didn't go, Chior was still pretty fun all in all, and I would recommend it to anyone who's interested.

so, it's gonna be your secound year? not bad. Well, I have heard you sing before and it sounds very good nightmare, so just keep up the good work and I know you might just nail everything in tone! :shy2: ..but I was in chior back for the last two years of high school. We had many concerts and schools to go to just to sing our butts off. I had lots of fun though going to trips and making fun of my choir teacher. I was mostly 2 parts that I could sing..it was the soprano 1 and soprano 2...but I would stay with the soprano 2 cause the soprano 1's were all stuck up and cocky..and I would get into arguments with them lots of time, so my teacher always had to seprate me with them... :anger: ..stupid preps...but I love choir though I think I will get it when I go to collage hopfully!

 

6th year in Chours class this year. I'm either a Baritone or a Bass. Unfortunately I don't plan on keeping going much longer, since i need to take the required classess to graduate.

I was a part of the choir in our parish church about 5 years ago. I dropped about a month after joining because the schedule collided with my studies. We had to go on many trips and all, and I couldn't afford to be absent and miss classes. It's worse having to catch up. However, I participated in our school's choir since then.

 

I wa until I went into 9th grade. I just didn't care for it.

 

Does no one have a Show Choir or a Choir that does Choreography...(dancing) ..I though most High School Choirs did.. lol

 

Well it all depends on how many people are going to that school and how much that school puts into music

 

I don't do choir. I dunno, I'm not all into singining, although I love to sing... God I'm confusing myself, bottom line is I'm not in choir. >_<

I used to be in choir when I was in 4th and 5th grade but I quit after that.
I'm not exactly the world's best singer.

 

Yes, our school has a choir. There are two show choirs: Treble Effects and Soundsational Singers...yes, i go to KaYasha's school
well anyway, Kay is in Sounds and I'm in TE...i wanted to be in sounds so bad!!! But i will make it next year..i promise you Kel!!! ^_^ But yeah, TE is a girls choir and it's sort of the choir for the people who cant make it into sounds -_- but like i said i will make it next year!! And next year as well I AM going to the Butler Show Choir Camp...we're gonna have so much fun!!

I've been in my church choir for ages, since i was like 5, lol.

 

Well, as to an update on my choir. We went to Branson Missouri to the national FAME competition and placed Grand Champs again. Yay to us!

Kinnda out of place.. but anyway I thought it would be a nice update.
