Because GameCube is SOOOOOOOO much better than the box.

Resident Evil - Brilliantly redone in today's graphics, still as creepy as the day it was released. 7/10

    Resident Evil 2 - See above. 8/10

Super Smash Borthers Melee - A wonderful sequel to an addictive classic. 10+ more characters, 6+ new stages. Meteor smash moves. Fast an furious fights. 10/10

Metroid Prime - Everything I EVER EEVVVVVERRRRR dreamed a Metroid game to be. Stunning graphics, perfect controls (almost), grasping plot, and one helluva babe in a robot suit :D 11/10

Tony Hawk 3 - An installmentin the Tony Hawk series of skatboarding games. Easy controls, tough challenges, custom skaters. Online Play. Not too inventive. 6/10

Tony Hawk 4 - Same as above, plus flatland tricks. Good music. 7/10

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance - HOLY DIETY ABOVE! FINALLY, A GOOD MORTAL KOMBAT GAME! Solid controls, 3 fighting styles per character, ((26 x 26) - 8) unlockables. 18-ish characters. V. good. 9/10

Phantasy Star Online - 15/10. Just for being it.

More to come when i have money and time.

Would you say that Soul Caliber 2 would be a better fighter (isn't out yet of course) than Deadly Alliance. The mere sight of Link in a Platform Fighter (SSBM is NOT a PLATFORM Fighter) has got me really interested.

I heard that Resident Evil 2 (and 3 for that matter) for the GameCube is an exact duplicate of the last system it came on. Nothing different on it at all, not even the graphics. Resident Evil (1) is a different story and was totally redone.

I think the good deal about it was that it sold it both in one cartridge, and it was for a FAIRLY low price. It was for those hardcore nintendo fans who wouldn't dare purchase a PSX for under a 100 bucks...

What's the estimated playtime of PSO? And besides the fact that it is online, what makes it get such a high rating from you?

Estimated how, just running through it or getting eveything?

Running through the first time took me about eight hours on Normal, and i still cant beat hard. Thats just running through as fast as possible.

Why does it get such a high rating? Because its a magnificent game. I've been a fan of the PS Series since i was 5 (1989-90) when i played II over my cousins house. Since then none of them have let me down (Except three. Avoid three.). But thats not the point. Its a brilliantly crafted adventure, with a simple story and compelling game play. (Just one more board, I need more monogrinders...) Its simple, offline play jsut uses a normal controller's Directionals, Z, R, B, A, and X. And Y for the map. Talk/Look options appear only when you need them. There are numerous spells, each with varying levels (Except Ryuka and Revive), hundreds of weapons and armor, configurable helpers called mags, and....WAAAH! SO MUCH GOOD STUFF! Just...rent it...if not for yourself, then for Sonic Team. Do it for them.

I bought the GBA version collection, though I like the II somewhat, PSI was terrible. The combat system made enemies always a threat, the dungeons were cryptic and took me hours to get out of at a time, you never were guaranteed of running away no matter what enemy you faced, and armor seemed to have NO effect.

Sounds like this could even be more interesting than Diablo II.
