Anime Chrno Crusade

Has anyone else seen this Anime?

It is actually really good.

Story:
The year is 1928 AD. The place is Brooklyn, New York. Rosette Christopher is a demon exorcist who belongs to the Order of the Magdala. Her job is to kill off demons that show up in the city. The main method to she uses to dispatch the demons are guns with sacred holy bullets. Rosette arsenal of guns range from a handgun to a Thompson "Tommy" Submachinegun. Her assistant is Chrno, a boy with demonic powers.

 

Actually, I saw it after I saw this thread and decided to check it out. Absolutely awesome. Two words: Demon fights. Schweet. :anime:

Oh, and don't get me wrong, the plot is also very good. Quite a nice idea, and definitely original.

I am a little mad that I have only seen up to episode number 5 though. I think there are 9 available. I cannot even get summaries on them because it is so new. What episodes are the rest of you at?

My favorite character has to be Chrno. Then Rosette. Then Azamaria. I don't think I like the head nun that much. I am not to sure of the Priest. I think there is something funny there. I think he likes Rosette alot. And she may like him. The couple I want (even though it won't happen) is Chrno and Rosette. Who do the rest of you like?

What does everyone think of the deal with Rosette brother? Why was him being alive kept from her. Remember I have not seen 4 episodes.

Rosette and her brother grew up in an orphanage together because her parents are dead. Joshua somehow joins the bad side with the demon Aion. Now rosette joins the Magdalan Order to get her brother back.

 

It's strange that they waited until 2000 to reveal the third prophecy. Considering that the assassination attempt took place in 1981, but really the prophecy still doesn't totally match up with what happened in 81. It's kind of freaky that the children were shown what hell is like, I always thought it was purgatory they were shown (maybe that was another Marian apparition)

I wonder how Chrno became a fallen angel. According to the story, all demons were once angels but a huge battle occurred led by Lucifer and many turned away from God. It would be cool if they made a prequel to Chrno Crusade on this

 

i watch the show faithfully. i think it's a relatively interesting series, and i love the plot. the art's lovely...the dubbings great, and the theme song...*thumbs up* really, i think it's a worth while anime to stick with. ismaria annoys me a bit though....the feelings she exudes....the guilt she places on herself...it's sometimes too much~_~

 

Chrono Crusade

Yes, another great anime in a box set that was released by ADV Films.

Chrono Crusade is the story of young demon mysteroiusly to the beggining of the story known as "Sinner Chrono" (which is revealed later in the anime) and a sister of the Magdalene Order, Rossete Christopher.

This anime is more into the story of God and the Devil, Demons and Angels. It sticks to most real life events back on 1910 and on (World War and such). Except there's demons and stuff.

The Anime packs some great action, excellent animation, and a superb voice acting staff. However not the best, they make it preety belivable.

Anyways, the point of this anime is that Chrono and Rossete are tied by a special bond. Since in the past, Chrono lost his horns (which are a Demon's source of power), Rossette made a pact with Chrono that would help keep him alive, but drain Rossette's life in the proccess.

This anime is great, and comes in cheap now.

To those that haven't watched it, you must. To those that watched it, what'd you guy think of it? Or maybe those that never watched it, what do you think of the outline for the story?

Seen it, posted in the other thread. It is pretty cool which reminds me I have to show someone this anime. Nuns with guns.

 

I see that a bit hipocrital on the Magdalene order too. Also, the outfits. Rossete's in particular. Could she show more of her legs? Don't get me wrong, it's a good thing!^^

Ever since she got the new outfit, the wind has been her enemy. I mean, seriously! Look at her! A gust of wind and the audience sees what kind of underwear she has. No one minds this however. I know i dont

The story wasnt bad. In fact, it taught me a couple of things.

Aion was completly bad***. The english dub voice fitted him nicely.

It sounds like a worthwhile see! im just curious, alot of people here after the thread went up, seemed to go out and see it. Where are you getting the DVD's so fast or whatever? renting? buying? where?

 

Well, I reccomend Best Buy, if you want it straight from the factory, and don't trust the stuff from E-Bay (which there's nothing wrong with). It's only around 56 dollars on www.bestbuy.com (type Chrono Crusade, and if you need to, add "Box Set"). All 7 DVD's were shrunk down to 5 DVD's, with all 24 Episodes.
