Saber Marionette Clarification Question

    I've seen conflicting evidence on this. Did SMR take place 200 years before or after SMJ?

    Read that? There are spoilers here. I don't want anyone to be spoiled who doesn't want to be.

    I'll keep it vaguely worded anyway.

    Given the sucess of the female clones in SMJ 2 X, if R takes place in the future, then why are there no women on Terra II save for marionettes? I hate to be so nitpicky about this, but the placement of R on the SMJ timeline is crucial for my next fan fic.

    I'm pretty sure it takes place in the future. f course, why the ****tail sisters are all small, and why the technology seems more primitive is all beyond me.

    Not that I know.. I'm not the author or anything [​IMG] I just base that on what I've heard, and seen in places like Hanami's Saber Marionette world.

    I just have to think of it as an altaverse sometimes

    Maybe something happened at the end of SMJ to X to Lorelei and all the female clones. (who knows?)

    Like I said (but misspelled [​IMG] ), I have to think of it as an alternate universe. I don't think they go together, but they could, so don;t let that stop you from writeng a fanfic.

    I don't think we are at all (I mean, mini marionettes?), but the dark tone of SMR is really more appropriate for this story. (and besides the minute I saw it I fell in love with the ovas)

    That aaaaaaaaaand I love how the maiden circuits looked. You'll see. It's important.

    I thought SMR's dark appeal was pretty cool. Although it was rather strange watching SMR right after SMJ. I can't wait to see the fanfic.

    Yeah it was odd watching it after seeing J and J Again. But my GOD that opening was amazing.

    As for the fan fic, it's one of many I'm working on in this fandom. Chapter one is in the works right now. I think you will all be pleasantly surprised. It explains one of the many mysteries about Hanagata.

    Lady Aoi: must finish it soon...

    Okaaaaay! To bang off a few points - R does happen 200 years in the future... While some technology seems more primitive (i.e. the kind of stuff you see in the opening) "looks" to be just due to Starface's unorthodox method of things...

    The marionettes in question are not the same ones from J, and are in fact 3 totally unique marionettes (with the same name and otome circuits)...

    Female clones are SUPPOSED to exist, but they are still seen as a rarity in the future (maybe some government restrictions...)

    Finally, it IS a gap of 200 years, and a lot can happen in that time...maybe a war that decimates all the technology? ...the clones get wiped out...endless possibilities...

    When the producers first wanted the story, they only wanted to do a short OVA, and well, J as it was being written was far longer than what could be squeezed into 3 eps, so the author came up with the R version, set into the gritty future...

    Dang it.. the censors are getting me too. That was supposed to read c0cktail sisters.

    Same name, yeah.. same Otome circuits? Ehh? they look nothing like the old ones.. or Do you mean they all have the same attributes from their circuits?

    Oh, that was just my bad grammar. I meant that they had Otome circuits and the same names, but not the same circuits...

    BakaMattSu, I mean, weren't their circuit growths noticibly different...?
