CLAMP Works CLVR: You Recomend?

I am interested in checking out Clover. But I want to get a few opinions on it.

Can u please tell me ure take on it and what u give it out of 10. 1=lowest 10=highest

 

i give it an 8.
this is because the story is good but a little hard to follow at the begging but it gets better.
a down side is that it is short.
it is sorta sad but very good.


my thoughts of it.

 

I'd give it a 4. It was a terribly sad story, and I'm a sucker for happy endings. A couple of cool characters die, and Toeskater is right. It is a sad story. But it is a short read. Even though I gave it a 4, it isn't THAT bad. :catgirl:

 

Let me remind you though. I have yet to find many CLAMP works that ARENT short reads. CLAMP seems to speciallize in mini-series.

Well, everyone gave their recommendations, but I feel like giving you mine, too. ^_^;

The art is undeniably beautiful. I find I like it more than that of other CLAMP works (such as Magic Knight Rayearth). The story is a bit confusing at first, but I think that's done more to make you curious than anything else. Once you've read it, you're left wanting more. It's sad and you know it and it's... just... wow. ^_^;;

I'll be unbiased and give it an 8, but otherwise it's a 10 to me. One of my fave manga miniseries. ^_^

 

Yo, I'm just gonna say somehting:
I know a girl who doesn't like CLAMP. She doesn't liek their series very much.
HOWEVER, she loves Clover. She has a site for it and everything. She recommends it to everyone.
If someone who doesn't like CLAMP stuff, loves Clover, that's gotta be a sign that it's good.

I myself have been looking high and low for Clover manga. It was translated quite some time ago in flopped format. I hope I can find it when I go to the city this weekend, but I may just spend all my money on furthering my already existing collections (I have only 3 volumes of Angelic Layer left it get before i ahve the whole series. Same with Zodiac P.I. And since I'm obsessing over Tokyo mew mew, of course I want to continue that. )

But you know Kamui you like X right? that's a different type of CLAMP story. Clover is a different type of CLAMP story. you may just like it.

And if you're still unsure you can go to Tokyopop.com and see more for yourself. When you click on titles you'll notice along with the information about the manga they also have soemthing called manga preview. basically that allows youto few and read a couple pages of the manga. I knoiw thye have the manga preview for Clover, I've looked. Go check it out if you wnat.
