Recreation CNN Sucks.

18 times the speed of light, eh? heh, that's pretty amusing. I wouldn't be so quick to chalk it up to pure stupidity though, it looks more like whoever typed that up meant 'sound', which is about accurate. Everyone makes little screwups...

Wow if what CNN said is true that must really mean the folks in the space shuttle didn't disintegrate but went into warp speed and is currently traveling distance galaxies (please note the sarcasm my condolences to the families)

This is why I don't watch CNN

 

Screw-ups which the less-intelligent will see, think to be true, then believe we have FTL technology.

They really need to have someone check things like this, theres no way a mistake like that should happen on a national, world-reknowned, number one news source.

If even a small piece of debris hit Earth at c, let alone 18c, believe me, we'd bloody know it.
