Anime Condor Hero

    The legend of Condor heroes!

    It's such a great anime with a WONDERFUL STORY LINE! The animation's are not advance, but they are certainly a classic!

    It's about a boy named Youka who is escorted by his uncle to Mount Shuunan so that Youka is taught Zenshinkyou marital arts (Hiding the fact that his uncle wants to get rid of him because his wife and children despise him). So the head of the dojo agrees and assigns a doushi,a person with very high morals (a taoist), to supervise youka's training. However, taoist indeed, that doushi who was supposed to teach Youka Zenshinkyou was playing dirty. He told Youka to memorise the manuals instead of actually practicing physical martail arts like all his peers. He forbid Youka to do any training.
    Thus this Zenshinkyou dojo that is supposed to be a school of dicipline and good moral teaching is actually corrupt. So at the end Youka ends up running away from this school and joining what is called a TOMB CLIQUE. I'm really bad at summarizing this anime, since I have seen only the first 10 episodes. But certainly this anime really is an interesting one, but not very popular.

    I prefer the chinese series version with real actors in it... much better. Twas a long time ago though... I'd say 7 years.

    Original story/novel is in Chinese, and this anime's story is only 1 'part' of 3: 'Legend of Condor Heroes', 'Return of The Condor Heroes' (which the anime is based on, consusing naming system isn't it?), and 'Heaven Sword & Dragon Sabre' (if I'm not mistaken)

    Me and my brother are still trying to complete the comic version, and yes, it is indeed a deep and interesting story. The comic has much more detail + action that the anime though...

    But watching some of the anime makes me very confused, as the original Chinese names are different. (e.g. Youka = Yang Guo)

    [I think Live-Evil is also subbing the live-action version of 'Legend of Condor Heroes', if you're interested. That was a nice show when it was on tv]
