confused

what is the difference between samurai x, tv series, and ova for Rurouni Kenshin?

 

ok the TV seres is labled under the name Rurouni Kenshin and takes place in Tokyo in the year 1878 with Kenshin and the Gang at the Kamiya Dojo. Samurai X is the cheesy american title for the Rurouni Kenshin OVA. there are two series Tsukio hen and the Seishou Hen OVA's the Tsukio hen takes place with kenshin during ihs days as Battousai. the Seishou Hen takes place during the Jinchuu Arc.

and Rurouni Kenshin. Which is first through Rurouni Kenshin life?

 

Tsukio Hen comes first, then the series comes in next, then Seisou Hen

Tsuiko goes through his life before the series, but still I'd suggest watching it after seeing a bit of the series so you understand what is happening better, and Himura's character.

 

technically thats who it works in chronological order but in terms of how it went in the manga the TV series comes the the Tsukio Hen and the the Seishou Hen...
