Kurt Nilsen! I'm sooo happy. I wanted him to win. They kept rubbing it in that Kelly would win.. and everytime she got 2nd place she had this semi-smile which showed she was like very unhappy. Well, Kurt didn't think he had a chance, even a judge said he looked like a hobbit. I think Kurt is cute and has a great personality. and of course a wonderful voice! I hope cds of his reach Canada.

hmm. lol. most countries have something called 'Idol' so America has 'American Idol' Kelly Clarkson won the first time. Then the latest was Reuben. I wish Clay Aiken would have won. Anyways, there's Norwegian Idol, French Idol, British Idol, Pan-Arabic Idol, Australian Idol, Canadian Idol. etc.

so on Christmas or around that time, all the winners got together and sang. people voted who they thought should be the World Idol.

The Belgium Idol sang a Nirvana song and most judges said he sucked and Cobain would kill him. The British Idol sang the Doors' 'Common Baby Light my Fire' but Reggae style and I almost died cuz he was sooo horrible.and the Polish judge said he sounded like Mr. Bean and if he was of the Morrison family, he'd sue him. Kurt Nilsen sang 'Beautiful Day' by U2 and everyone loved it. Kelly sang 'Natural Woman' anyways.. New Year's they told us who won. so it was Kurt.

    the end.

she was the only one to sing in her own language, everyone else sang in english.. she sang beautifully, umm she must have been in 8-10th place out of 13 though.

there are auditions to choose the best singer/performer in all areas of a country. for example, in the US the judges, which include Paula Abdul and this guy named Simon who was that dude in 'The Nanny' (you know the tv show with Fran Drescher?) they go to each state and pick the best and move on, then there's a show where the ones chosen sing, then get critiqued by the judges and then you can use your phone and vote for them. At the end, its always narrowed down, then tehre's a winner.

later, they made the World Idol where each Country's Idol goes up against the others. for some reason France's opted out. maybe they weren't very good. hehe..

lol. i never watched australian idol when i t was on, but i saw the 'world idol' performances. it was rather amusing. i loved the belgium dude who sang nirvana. that was hillarious. i wasn't impressed with that american one. come to think of it the performers were as bad as the show, but it was good for a few laughs. i prefer 'eurovision' because it's cornier.
sounds like you know ALOT about all this ser. >_<.

not really lol. just info. its my Dad who has time to watch not I. I just pick up on things and he tells me when its a 'not to miss show'. not to miss shows meaning the last episode to know who won and so on.. and yes, the most painful was still the British idol.. *cringes*

chiquita: Kurt? he is the Norwegian idol.
