Those who have cooked have done something wrong. So, I decided to make a thread talking about it. Plus I could go for a good laugh.

The first time I made soup I asked my mum how much water to add. I thought she said pan. It turns out you were only supposed to add a can like she said. OOPS. You can just imagine my shock when a 2 qt pan was full of water and hardily any baked beans. Bean and bacon soup was what I tried to cook.

I have also messed up the big TSP. with the TBS. One is Tablespoon the othe teaspon. I was making cabbage soup and ended up adding a tablespoon of black pepper. It turned out to be really spicy.

I know I have more. Tell you all more later.

When my dad tried to make pancakes, there was uncooked dough in the middle and they basically had the texture of bird-poop. They were so slimy! Eugh!

Well I can barely make toast without getting burned (and I've done my fair share of that too for that matter), so it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that while trying to slice open an apple I ended up cutting myself. It wasn't anything extreme, but it took half an hour to stop bleeding, and needless to say the apple wasn't a very pretty sight. :D

My older sister by one year dropped a piece of bread on the floor. My other older sister told her to go wash it because it was dirty. She did. And then she cried because it was soggy and wet. But very funny.

This year I helped my family make tacos. I had to cook the hard shells. I think your only supposed to put them in for 10 min. I didn't keep an eye on them so they burned. My excuse was that I don't eat them. It kind of worked. Needless to say I no longer asked to cook.

LOL. the gone wrong part is right. something like boiling an egg is sooo simple. but when you rent a room at university and are so busy studying.. you may forget you are boiling eggs and just go to bed!

POP! BANG! POP! POP!! in the middle of the night! Run out, pieces of egg everywhere. I couldn't live it down!!! it wasn't the last time either!

XD Well, it was late. . .my friends were over and we were bored. . .and out of bordom we decided to nuke a hotdog, over nuke it. And like it is said. . .they expand and go POP. It took a while to clean up.

    There was another time i was making eggs, and i used Pam (that fake grease spray) to grease the pan. And I wasnt paying attention while i heated up the pan, and the Pam started to burn. It smoked, and when i had realized what i had done was when the Fire Alarm went off. . . -_-;;

Or the time i made pumpkin bread in cooking class. . . .i dont know what we did to it. . .when we cut into it, it had a big whole going through it, was all gummy and tasted like rubber. XO

I know i have more cooking mess ups but i cant think of any of um. . .its late and im tired. . .I will post with some more, once i remember them. ^_^

This is more of a microwave accident (as I rarely cook and my girlfriend can tell you why XD).

I was heating up left-overs from Cluck-U chicken and threw a couple chicken strips in the microwave and let it go and all of a sudden I heard this loud pop. I opened up the microwave and sure enough, a chunk was missing from the middle of one of the strips, it not broken in half... though strangely enough not a trace of the center was to be found anywhere.. as if it just like simply incinerated.

Then there was the one time I was heating up a Spicy Chicken sandwich from Wendy's and I told my sister to throw it in the microwave... she happened to keep the wrapper ON, and all of a sudden there was a pop and a spark and I quickly stopped the microwave. Hesitantly, I opened it up and saw that it had burned clear through the foil-like wrapper and toasted part of the bun. x_x

Just think... if I have these accidents with a microwave, just think how dangerous I am with a stove or oven.

I was making some popcorn and i was being v. ditzy that day.
Anyways I threw the bag right away and i clicked for the sensor popcorn button. I went to go fix myself some crystal light thing or whatever. and i noticed that there was a bit of a smoke smell. I looked over to what was happening to the microwave and i noticed that i had left the plastic on the popcorn.

    There goes 250 dollars.. >o<

I have actually left the wrapper on a Wendy's sandwhich at my work. I caught it before it did real damage. It did leace a nasty burn smell which I pretended that wasn't mine.

I have a frozen bagel story, that i just remembered from when i was in the 2nd grade. I was going to eat a bagel and so i poped a frozen one in the microwave to defrost it. I clicked the defrost button and put in a couple minutes. when it was done i checked it but it wasnt defrosted, so i thought "defrost" wasnt working. So then i pressed the "Re-heat" button. And heated it for another 2 minutes. And when i checked on it, it was hard. So i continued heating it thinking it was hard becuase it was still frozen ><;; Well. . .the bagel burnt and it smelled like smoke all through out my house.

My friend put some leftover peeps in the microwave, they were over 3 mo. old.
Anyways he wasnt sure what to do, so he threw the peeps in the microwave. He put it in for 30 sec and they were still hard. So he threw them in for 2 min. We came back 15 min later for some grub, and he opened the microwave and he started screaming @&$@(%&@*($*!&$) at the top of his lungs. I looked inside the microwave and the peeps had exploded and created a layer all over the microwave. delicious.

Just this last week, after much prodding from my parents, i finally decided to make supper. Now, I'm no cook, so I decided to make a pasta dish. I spent ages preparing the vegtables, creating the sauce, etc, and when it finally came to the stage where i put it in the oven, i was quite pleased with myself.

Until i realised I'd left out the pasta.

one night i was helping my mother make some chicken in the oven and everything turned out fine but i didnt remember turning off the oven. so i went to bed and about 3am i ended up waking up and looking towards the doorway and all i saw was almost this fog...or so i thought. so i thought that i left the oven on and it was burning down the house and that was smoke(i could still smell the chicken that we had previously cooked) and so i jumped up and started to run out the door when.....BANG!!.....i ran head first into the door....you see the door is this creamy color and so when you look at it at first when you are half alseep, it looks like smoke....hehe i had a headach the next morning.

another time i was making cookies and got the baking soda and flour mixed up so i ended up putting 2 cups of baking soda and a tsp. of flour. i then added way too much water not even thinking and i popped them in the oven and in about ten minutes, my mom yelled at me to get into the kitchen and when i looked in the oven, it ended up they turned to liquid and had ran down the ran all over the oven....it was horrible. took about a week to clean out..but i was like, 9 or 10 years old:p what an excuse, eh?

i have others, i just cant remember...lets just say i have had more failers then perfections.

    ditto. lol.

my room-mate, she told me a story of the first time she made Kraft Dinner. She made it for friends, she boiled the noodles, then added the margarine and cheese powder and milk.. she just forgot one thing. to drain the water out...o.0 . She still didn't understand where she went wrong until she started serving the soup to her friends..

ok, this happened recently, but.. I do it good now. It wasn't the first time I made batter for the fish. (before frying) so, for some reason the batter looked a bit different.. anyways I proceeded to place the fish one frying at a time in the deep fryer. It was odd how bubbles were created this time in the fryer, but oh well, I'm not a deep fryer engineer or anything. so I continued, after about the second last one, the bubbles just went MAD! I closed the lid, but that wasn't good enough! the oil and fizzy bubbles were pouring out like MAD and I got paper towels and my Mom was like wtf? and I was like OH NO!? and saying the fryer went MAD! and I didnt know what went wrong.. well.. I somehow got the baking powder mixed up with baking soda...-__-' and the next time I made the batter, I made absolutely sure I read 'baking powder' not 'baking soda' and then... I still put baking soda in tHE BOWL!!! but then.. I chucked the flour and soda and such.. sigh. I started over.

the end. there's more I just need to recall.. that was a funny story Shadowstalker ^___^
