Theres a program named Irfanview that is freeware where you can view any image file and edit it, you can also read any type of sound file, even video files irfanview reads, it can read mov,avi,mpeg,wmv... just for video.

it also as a plugin that seperates avi files in frame bmps that you can turn into a video for screen saver.

its very useful in conjunction with k-lite codec pack and nimo codec pack.
