Cosplay and Conventions Cosplay: Stupid?

a forty year old man is bad but a forty year old fat and bald man wearing a sailor scout uniform thats just beyond the word that i can say :bleed: :dizzy2:

but ive always wanted to go to one of the cosplay to see the dedication that some fans go through to show there love of anime

I've always wanted to do some cosplaying, because really I'm a big kid at heart. My friends want me to be Yui at Animazement...but I just don't have the skill required to make a costume lol. I'm clumsy with needles, but I plan on going anyway just to see my more skilled friend as a neko.

 

Ok I admit it, I didn't believe you, and I wasn't afraid. Now I looked and I'm afraid, and I'm alone, I need help....!

Awww *hug hug pat pat* yes as a cosplayer and a...ummm...crossdresser it is something I really don't want to see again...ever. I'm sorry if anyone felt the trauma. I give you my metal brush so you can scrub your brain...and now we need some good cosplay to heal the pain lol. I'm actually interested in seeing some images if anyone has some of their previous cosplay.

serouisly i think i would rather look at Sailor moon guy than at Man Faye man thats just plain sick...But got to give him props for doing that im just wondering how many people were scared when they seen that

I don't see anything wrong with Cosplaying. I would do it my self. It is just something that people do for fun or for just attention like the old fat men.. ( Ew)

If a nine year old dresses up as a anime character than they shoudl grow up? This is just something clearly for fun and people like your self try to ruin it for others because you don't like it. Well if you don't then just..deal with it because people will do it.

I am just waiting for one convention that Sabrina and I can go to toghter, and we will cosplay...just for the fun of it... I think I will go as Kagome from InuYasha then add to the collection of fat men dressing up as anime girls!! No, I don't who I would closplay as.. hehe.

 

If you did, we would put you on the pic next to "Man Faye", and other guys that dress as girls. For those that haven't seen "Man Faye" yet, be warned. Do not be curious, you will regret it.

As for the whole cosplay thing, i was thinking of getting a custom made state alchemist suit, but i'll wait until later. The next MegaCon (the only anime convention in Orlando) doesn't happen until sometime next year.....*sigh*

I think that anime cosplay is a way to get away from being you for a day and get rid of all your problems and pretend you are them, except for the case of the evil "man faye". It's a really good way to get away from school, homework, work, etc., and be insane at the same time, that is why i support all "non-hentaic" cosplay costumes.

 

I don't see anything wrong with Cosplaying. And if the people are old cosplayers, they should at least cover up and stay within the same gender. I mean geeze...I've heard rumors of this Sailor Bob and Man Faye...but the curiosity got the best of me and....ugh. I don't feel well.

Anyways, I've been cosplaying for almost a year now.(Though I've only been to two conventions) I only cosplay at conventions though. I'll have to find my Wolfwood pictures and put them up here sometime.
